Well Done to Deans Enterprise Club for receiving a Social Enterprise School Award today from @SEA_Edu
The Enterprise Club have worked extremely hard all year to design, make, market and cost their products.
Such a great display of our school values ✨ @deanschs
P7 had a very scientific morning with Miss Liddell, Jenna and Fraser from DCHS. We investigated how fast salt dissolved and how quickly the ‘penguins’ cooled down. 🧂🐧. We also learned to hypothesise. @MrsGilmourCPS@DchsScience
Mr Wight’s S3 Chemistry class were introduced to their new Acids & Bases topic this morning. To help them visualise how the concentration of Acids and Bases are affected by the concentration of Hydrogen and Hydroxide ions they created seesaw diagrams as shown in the picture.

AMAZING being a guest & judge at @deanschs#science fair last night. I learnt so much & was completely inspired by your young peoples passion @DeansScience! Super glad to see a project on #oceanacidification & to hear conversations being started about it💙👏 Well done all! #STEM
Our @deanschs Science Ambassadors had a busy week last week! They were speaking to parents and pupils about course choice at S2 parents evening on Thursday as well as speaking at S1, S2 & S3 assemblies throughout the week to promote the launch of our 2023 Science Fair!
Katie from the Marine Conservation Society visited some S1 science students last week to give a presentation .They found out why rivers, lochs and the oceans are important to us, the marine life that live in or near them, how it is being polluted and what they can do to help!
Finished the week yesterday exploring a quiet @deanschs and had fun on a visit this week to @DeansScience for science transition & a filtration experiment. We've loved the Spanish lessons too with @chs_deans. Thanks so much to all making us so welcome - 💛💚

Mr Wright, Miss Liddell & the Science Ambassadors from @deanschs had a fantastic time with P7 @WLSeafieldPS a couple of weeks ago. We were very impressed by their practical skills during our first Science transition visit completing a filtration.
@deanschs N5 Engineering Science pupils are learning how to write their own traffic light sequence using Yenka and programming our PICAXE Microcontrollers to test their programme. Check out their work!
