"He’s such a great guy!"
"They have always been so kind to me."
"I can't imagine them hurting anyone."
That’s the problem.
The most dangerous abusers are the ones no one suspects—the ones who charm their way into your trust while making their victim feel completely powerless.
They might be the life of the party, the generous boss, the well-respected parent at school pickup. But when the doors close, their true face emerges.
If someone tells you they’re being abused by someone who seems too nice to do something like that—believe them.
#DomesticAbuseAwareness
So what 'radicalised' this 29 yr old man, a teacher, into seeking 2 kill this woman? TikTok? Insta? SnapChat? Or something much older & deeper, like living in a society where women's lives are so devalued that stabbing one 15 times ≠ attempted murder?

An abuser's criticism, anger, or control is not a reflection of you—it’s a reflection of their own insecurities and need for dominance.
Their behavior is about them, not you!
#CoerciveControl
If I walk down a quiet street behind a woman, I cross over. It’s a piece of cake, fellas. Really easy.
If I get on a quiet bus or train I don’t sit next to - or behind - a lone girl or woman. Also very easy. Effortless.
No big deal. Pass it on.
No doubt there will be knee-jerks out there saying 'but what about the men murdered by women?' to whom I'd say 'use your energies to work on producing something forensic and structurally illustrative. Then place it in the wider context of men being murdered by men. Then share it'
Domestic abuse is complex!
It’s a minefield for victims and survivors let alone professionals trying to help and assist victims.
As someone with lived experience I am able to help professionals get a deeper knowledge of the complexities of domestic abuse and coercion. If you don’t have all the tools in the box you cannot do the best job to help those most vulnerable.
Education is key!
If you would like to invest in a session for your colleagues get in touch for further information.
I have delivered training to Police, CPS, NHS, Teachers, Students and more.

Personally I think Liz Truss, Kwasi Kwarteng, Suella Braverman et al are doing a really fine job for the Conservative Party
We just need a General Election so the rest of us can give them feedback
