@therecount Wait…what?!😫. This is embarrassing. I’m more amazed that millions of American people voted for this man to represent them in senate…over a highly intelligent, Christian man and pastor with Christian values they value so much.
Let's be clear. Eli Lilly should apologize for increasing the price of insulin by over 1,200% since 1996 to $275 while it costs less than $10 to manufacture. The inventors of insulin sold their patents in 1923 for $1 to save lives, not to make Eli Lilly's CEO obscenely rich.
@VirginiaBuysse I had 3 rapid tests and 1 pcr return as false negatives after my partner tested positive and I had the exact same symptoms. Now I trust no one who has any symptoms with a negative test.
As A Christian, I remind you that Jesus was a gun-loving nationalist who opposed abortion, immigration, labor unions, gay rights & Communists.
Oh wait; did I say Jesus?
Sorry, I meant Hitler.
Jesus did none of that.
That was all Hitler’s agenda.
‼️This! It’s time Dems are held accountable for their INACTION. To what end must we continue to vote? We need new and better leadership who is willing to do WHATEVER it takes to protect Americans. I’m tired of fake outrage, hearings & committees. Maybe you can lead the way @AOC?
The President & Dem leaders can no longer get away with familiar tactics of “committees” and “studies” to avoid tackling our crises head-on anymore:
- Restrain judicial review
- Open clinics on federal lands
- Court expansion
- Expand Fed access/awareness of pill abortions
- etc
@ValerioCNN@CNN This is why Democrats are losing progressives and young people. The old establishment refuses to do what is necessary to save the country.
@AnandKNarayan@AOC So months of realizing the threat to abortion rights and to ROE v Wade…Hot topic since last justices were appointed. Months of opportunity and calls to find a way to codify Roe v Wade into law…something that could be far more impactful.
@notcapnamerica Last I’ve checked Dems have showed up to vote en masse…they won the popular vote by far and gained majority in parliament. The difference is GOP are laser focused on their endgame. The democratic government as we have it, don’t have an endgame or at least don’t care enough.
To any Democrat saying we shouldn’t expand the court: If Republicans were in our position, they wouldn’t wait A MINUTE to change the structure of the court.
They literally already did when McConnell denied Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland.
Gloves off. Fuck this.
For the moments when we DO insist on elections, we must be PRECISE with what we need and we will do with that power:
How many seats does the party need to Codify Roe?
Dems must SAY THAT. Not just “go vote” or “give us $6 to win.” That is demoralizing, losing, unfocused nonsense
@olpapahFL @ninaturner@POTUS I’m not seeing how the GOP cares about precedent. If the GOP is in power and want to expand the court they will find a way. Time Dems start doing the same.
And no more excuse of they can’t get anything done when we have elected a dem majority in both house and senate. Find a pair and figure out a way. #RoeVsWade#AbortionBan
If a pro-life politician crowing about today’s decision ever paid for your abortion and it feels like the right time to talk about it, my email is [email protected]
So let’s wake up everybody! What’s good Democrats! If you don’t like what I’ve laid out here, then please present YOUR plan instead of little “why we can’t” lists!!
Let’s cut the handwringing and get moving! Chop chop! No more showtunes till November unless it’s for GOTV!!
