@JonjayNeedham1 Thank you for sharing Jon. Your circumstances must have made life so difficult for you. I too had undiagnosed dyslexia and was horrible at school in the 70’s. Take care xx
@DanielHewittITV@HarryPeetTV I was in temp housing with my 2 year old after my marriage broke up. It was horrible knowing someone could be in your room whilst you were out and going through my stuff. it had a terrible effect on my mental health. We all have the right to a safe, secure and decent place
@RethinkingJames@teamsquarepeg Something needs to change. I went to school in the 70s all of my reports show me as not getting the grades after I put in so much effort, or very slow. It seems ridiculous that my daughter who is 27 was diagnosed at the age of 17. Things need to change.
@CaroGilesWrites@teamsquarepeg@michaelgove We got through it, she’s 27 has a good job and has reasonable adjustments in place but you put your trust in the school and unless your child is a straight A star they aren’t interested. As you say fines won’t help, I regularly had about 50p in my pocket once bills were paid.
@CaroGilesWrites@teamsquarepeg@michaelgove As a single parent I really struggled getting my daughter to attend secondary school after the death of her father, she was also later diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. Fines wouldn’t have helped they would have only pushed me more into debt.
@MartinSLewis@bbc5live@Hobbs_London where excellent in Cheshire Oaks as I was buying for my investiture and wanted something I could wear again. My outfit was pre COVID, they were excellent at helping me match it up with accesMy friend who Hans never before set foot in Hobbs is now a fan
