Around 3,000 young people in Leyton & Wanstead are NEET and keen to work or train – but the system is failing them. 👇
Last week I met apprenticeship providers, education leaders and invited the Skills Minister to Whipps to push for real pathways into jobs for our young people.

Age old story
When @UKLabour is in government spend months attacking and destroying the leader then pick off any potential replacements…

More investment in SEND support locally 👇
🌳Waltham Forest: +£362k (total £3.3m)
🔴Redbridge: +£456k (total £4.1m)
All part of Labour's £3.7bn investment to deliver earlier support, more local provision, and a system that works for families.
I know many people are feeling worried after what happened on Leyton High Road. I spoke with Borough Commander Jackson today, and police remain in the area with increased patrols locally. 👇
If you saw or heard anything around Saint George’s Road and Leyton High Road in the early hours of Thursday morning, please contact police on 101 quoting reference 219/23APR.
Today marks the anniversary of the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence, my friend’s brother.
We must tell a positive story of Englishness grounded in the England we are, not the England the far right wants us to be. #PMQs
So far this week there has been extreme outrage because Kier Starmer, the UK Prime Minister:
1) Went on a 3 day minibreak to Spain and stayed in a £200 a night 4 star hotel
2) Spent £1500 on a sofa, and £1400 on a bed at his Downing Street residence (all Prime Ministers have, and have always used, a £30,000 annual allowance for this same residence).
Does anyone else see how pathetic and desperate this all is? In a world where so many world leaders are openly corrupt to the tune of multi-billion dollars, that these people are digging so hard and so deep to fabricate a scandal where none exists?
Outrage bait BS, and we all know it.

@LBC@policylaila She's lying as usual and LBC are amplifying her lies - demonstrating again how poor our media is about holding liars to account. Shame in you @LBC

A really positive step for our young people – creating safe, late-night spaces where they can go. 🙌
This is what happens when Labour works together across the board, from councillors to City Hall to national government.
Every year since I've been Mayor, I'm proud that we've celebrated St George’s Day in Trafalgar Square.
Our St George’s Day celebrations return on Sunday 19 April.

Sometimes even the smallest things like getting flowerbeds sorted can require persistence - this shows the difference electing people like Caramel and Yusuf makes because they don’t give up. Excited for their plans for what next for upper Walthamstow if they are re elected as know they can make things happen.
