I am a Councillor in King Township.
I am passionate about transparency and want citizen engagement. I believe in our responsibility to future generations.
📣Slated to open this summer, King’s new Township-Wide Recreation Centre will be the first carbon-zero, combined aquatics and ice-sports community facility in Canada! To learn how the facility is reducing its carbon footprint, visit https://t.co/YjaBDdanWs. @CAGBC
Keep our parks clean! 🌳🐾 Dispose of pet waste in your green bin at home or a waste bin when in the community. #KingTownship parks, roadways and sidewalks are routinely patrolled for animal control issues. #StoopAndScoop offences are fined $200. Details: https://t.co/YjaBDdanWs
@_DebSchulte@ahmadiyyacanada It was a very important event. We need to have more events which bring together people from the different faiths so we can explore and understand our commonality as human beings. That commonality needs to be dominated by Love and not hatred.
Royal Canadian Air Force to Conduct Flyby at Schomberg Remembrance Day Service https://t.co/JgzWfgIvlw in honour of a great King Township community member: Col (Ret’d) Susan F. Beharriell, OMM, CD, who passed away on December 1, 2022.
I totally support Mayor Steve Pellegrini’s (King Township)statement that a proposal to amalgamate York Region municipalities into one mega city is not a good idea. https://t.co/dvJtXpWuOq
Approval of the proposed long-term care center at Mary Lake will be decided by King City Committee of Adjustment on April 19th. Against the planning report submitted by AFOI., we believe this proposal fails to conform with the ORM Conservation Plan. #yorkregion#kingcity
The interconnectedness of land features is why that it is folly to carve out land from the Greenbelt and think that the adjacent lands and beyond are not impacted.

Very succinct summary of how Bill 23 threatens our Main Streets across Ontario. And very creative ideas how to leverage buildings currently wasted.
Vaughan residents Marcella and Sara joined thousands of like minded people at QPark opposing attacks on our environment, greenbelt and construction of hwy 413 the most environmentally destructive hwy of our times @envirodefence@GreenbeltAllies@STOPthe413NOW
I never have understood how the final 413 route was selected. The documents show that it was NOT because it was the route which would cause the least environmental damage. So much lost to create a 59km hwy which will enable more sprawl with auto dependent residents.
The big loser is the public. This top-down imposition of tall and sprawl needs to be rejected. We need to grow the region in a healthy and sustainable way through collaboration, not irresponsible diktats. #housing#TOC#onpoli https://t.co/ARS66GDzsu
