Ryanair @ryanair have launched 16 new routes from Belfast International Airport @belfastairport for summer season with two based aircraft flying over 140 flights per week. Resulting in over 950 jobs created – 60 direct, 900 indirect.

Huge respect to all those staff working through the night to clear the snow & keep runways open so passengers can move and essential cargo and medical flights can operate. I know its frustrating if you are delayed or cancelled but safety must always come first. #BeKind

Update 2: Runway has reopened and flights are arriving again. Delays can be expected as the adverse weather will impact operations. Our airfield teams are working hard to keep the runways open and passengers moving. If you are due to travel please contact your airline for updates

We greatly appreciate the Government's support in these endeavours via the @luhc levelling-up fund allocation. It will support a range of measures on-site such as new electric buses, efficient LED lighting & fixed electrical ground power that will greatly reduce carbon emissions.
