[IN CONVERSATION] Financial stress levels in South Africa have eased slightly, with fewer people reporting anxiety about money compared to last year, according to @DebtBusters_IDM's latest Money-Stress Tracker. However, high inflation, stagnant incomes, and rising debt repayments continue to strain households, particularly among women, older individuals, and high-income earners.
While some South Africans are regaining mental space for long-term planning, experts warn that adapting to constant stress may be dangerous without real financial reform.
