- SLST

💔 HEARTBREAKING !
Visuals of police personnel forcefully detaining Gen-Z women protesters are deeply disturbing.
Is this how a democracy treats young women who raises their voices against CEC Gyanesh Kumar ?
Tomorrow, 12th October, India marches peacefully as one to the Supreme Court.
Students, civil society organisations, Opposition parties: Please join us to defend our democracy.
#ChaloDilli
Appeal to all citizens and organisations who were on the streets on 10th to join this call for a march to the Supreme Court on Monday, 12 October. Let’s all urge the Apex Court to act as the custodian of the Constitution.
Why did you delete the part where I was asking for my phone so I could retrieve my cousin’s number? And where I was asking to let me speak to my lawyers?
The same Delhi Police which is now taking the moral high ground for informing me about my grandmother’s demise and offering me a ride home came to me at 3:30 in the morning with arrest papers, demanding that I sign them.
Where did all that humanity go at 3:30 AM? Despite knowing that I had just lost my grandmother, they still insisted that I sign the arrest papers. I refused until I was allowed to speak to my lawyers.
Yesterday, the nation's young came out in Delhi to peacefully protest. They came with love in their hearts, not hatred or anger. They were beaten, both by cops and BJP goons.
This is not the India we want.
Tomorrow, we will march to the Supreme Court as Indians, united beyond party, gender, caste, community and state.
Youth, all opposition parties, civil society groups, all those who believe in democracy and stand by the Constitution of India, will walk with us.
We will submit a memorandum to the Chief Justice on behalf of the nation, demanding an end to vote chori, halting of SIR and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar.
Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Ajit Doval and Mohan Bhagwat cannot silence India's voice. These cowards cannot intimidate us. They will have to step aside.
We will march together, with love, brotherhood and patriotism.
Daro mat.
Tomorrow, all of India will march to the Supreme Court.

Delhi Police fortified Central Delhi to stop people from reaching Jantar Mantar, a designated protest site.
Result - There are now 50 different Jantar Mantars in and around Central Delhi.
Congratulations @DelhiPolice for screwing up once again :)
Alarming: on the day the Supreme Court ordered the police to allow journalists to do their job, Delhi Police bundle a woman reporter into the van. This despite her and us repeatedly telling the police that she’s with the media, and showing her badge.
