This is the organization that has built hundreds of temples, runs hospitals and mobile clinics, schools, colleges, relief works, has 1000+ sadhus, million-plus volunteers and followers in 45 countries - got bullied by an anonymous account? If the delusion keeps you happy, so be it.
Calling BAPS misogynistic over temple rituals just proves you’ve never stepped into a traditional Hindu temple.
Ever been to Somnath or Dwarkadish? Even regular men, let alone women, are restricted entry into Grabhgriha. Outside the sanctum anyone can perform the Arti or any other ritual.
Are separate queues at Somnath, Dwarka, Tirupati misogynistic too?
Ever heard about the Sabrimala temple?
Learn the basics of Agamic traditions before giving lectures on them or spewing hate towards any Hindu sect.
Interesting!
Incredible timeline acrobatics from @SushantSin in @thecaravanindia
A few facts-
BAPS delegation visit to the Eiffel Tower: Sept 5
PM Modi video message: Sept 6
Eiffel Tower strike: Sept 7
Writing "Strike happened... French leaders politically condemned...next day PM Modi sent a video message celebrating inauguration", deliberately reverses the calendar to frame Modi's address as State endorsement of a larger controversy - just to invent a narrative.
This exposes how Truth is manipulated, non-existent timelines are planted, and stories are engineered to deceive.
Reading this particular essay requires immense strength, steeped in falsehoods, hatred, and ignorance.
Even better, on the very same day this narrative was pushed, Le Parisien reported BAPS made no such request.
BAPS is now presented abroad as the benign face of Hinduism but is a non-state actor. The Paris episode and its past record raises tough questions: caste exclusion, slave labour, misogyny—and a very close relationship with Modi.

#BAPSVindicated | A Paris city investigation has cleared BAPS in the Eiffel Tower women staff row. The General Inspectorate of the City of Paris found no explicit request, written instruction, or email from BAPS asking for female staff to be removed during the delegation's visit on September 5.
Was BAPS the target of a hit job?

This is how BAPS actually celebrates women - Women Convention at the Paris Mandir, held exactly as scheduled months prior, accidently on the very day people were busy branding the organization misogynistic and worse, without a shred of evidence.
Even when past accusations were hurled at the organization, BAPS has rarely engaged in public debate over them. It holds to a simple belief: the truth prevails on its own.
No press conferences. Just a hundred years of quiet, consistent work, continuing exactly as it always has, while the noise outside moves on to its next target.
Watch the video. Then ask yourself who was actually telling the truth this week.
BAPS is neither misogynistic nor suppressive to any caste. Seems like you are treating yourself unfairly - half baked and unsubstantiated information.
1. BAPS statement clearly states no requests were made, at any point, rooted in gender. The visit was planned and coordinated in advance with the Eiffel Tower team.
2. Inside the organization, women actively participate in festivities, invite other women also. 50-60% of volunteers in the organization are women. Women are very much integral in BAPS.
3. Regarding trafficking charges in the US, pls make yourself little aware, the criminal charges were dropped by DOJ and the case is closed.
4. It’s okay that you have not read the case document properly or you did not intend to. BAPS WAS NOT a PARTY to the case. Rather the Northern Diocese of the Swaminarayan sect based in Ahmedabad.
1. BAPS did not "storm in" and protest. No one was held at gunpoint, and no rights were "asserted" on foreign soil. The visit to the Eiffel Tower took place in the early hours specifically to minimize disruption to visitors and staff. Any special arrangements for the 100-person delegation were entirely in the hands of the Eiffel Tower's own team and SETE.
2. BAPS's statement is explicit: no request was made on the basis of gender.
3. BAPS does not "shame" anyone globally. It is, in fact, one of the Hindu socio-spiritual organizations that has consistently preserved and promoted Hindu values worldwide. Ask any non-Indian or local community near a BAPS temple, anywhere in the world, about the community service and seva BAPS consistently provides in emergencies and otherwise.
4. If the goal is to ride the anti-India, anti-Hindu wave coming out of Western media to push an anti-Modi agenda, the facts will keep getting in the way. That's not analysis, that's just bias with extra steps.
5. And that 93-year-old guru has arguably done more for women's institutional life than a lot of louder voices manage in a lifetime.
Liberté and égalité, sure. Maybe start closer to home. Sandeshkhali is a better place to look: a TMC leader, Sheikh Shahjahan, stands accused of systemic sexual assault and land-grabbing against local women, with the Calcutta High Court itself rebuking the then state government, TMC for years of inaction before an arrest was made.
BAPS statement clearly states “it was never, at any point, a request rooted in gender”
Also, BAPS devotees and monks did not forcefully enter and dictate their terms. Permissions were taken and corrdinated with the Eiffel Tower team to ensure minimum to staff and other visitors. No one was put at gun point to fulfill their requests. They could have simply denied.
But when everyone in India rushes to jump on the Western media's bandwagon, God help India.
Athos mountain, Greece(most holy site in Eastern Orthodox Christianity), Mount Omine Japan does not allow women.
Also, by your logic, tomorrow you might demand that the government take back the holy Sabarimala temple land? Right?
@France24_en Right, this was never really about the issue it claims to be about.
It has consistently been used to push an anti-Hindu, anti-Modi narrative.
I hope you have 2 minutes to read what the BAPS has to say
Also, BAPS did not ambush the Eiffel Tower. No one was put on a gun point. Permissions were taken for the visit beforehand to minimise disruption to visitors and staff.
Also, if what you are suggesting about Pujya Brahmvihari swamiji is true, what is wrong with someone having proximity to the Prime Minister?
@Vtxt21 Veena ji, seems like you are gullible not to read the entire case document carefully
Let me help you
BAPS IS NOT A PARTY to the case you have mentioned.
Rather northern diocese of the Swaminarayan sect based in Ahmedabad.
@KanwalSibal BAPS's statement makes clear the request was never, at any point, rooted in gender.
But when everyone in India rushes to jump on the Western media's bandwagon, God help India.
Faceoff Over BAPS' Paris Visit
BAPS is an organisation of monks; it is not against women. They are trying to maintain their monkhood, and for that they are trying to control their senses by not having women around...: @iratrivedi
If there is a problem, it has nothing to do with BAPS...: @thebritishhindu tells @MadhavGK
