Bitrecs SN122 is probably one of the easier Bittensor mining setups to try first.

The reason is simple.

You are not trying to run some insane GPU setup from day one. Bitrecs is a product recommendation subnet, so miners are basically producing ecommerce style recommendation responses.

That means you can start with a normal Ubuntu VPS, one Bittensor hotkey, one LLM API key, and a miner that stays online.

The flow is pretty simple:

Set up the VPS.

Install the Bitrecs repo.

Register your hotkey on subnet 122.

Add your LLM provider key.

Run the miner with PM2 so it stays live.

Then you watch the logs, make sure validators can reach you, make sure your responses are working, and only then start optimizing.

Do not overcomplicate it early.

The first goal is not to be the smartest miner on day one.

The first goal is to get online, stay online, and learn how the subnet actually works.

If your new to Bittensor mining, this is the kind of setup I would start with.
