Moving Averages: The Only Indicator I Truly Trust
If I had to pick just one indicator for life?
➡️ It would be the moving averages.
Simple, powerful, and the backbone of my entire system.
🔹 10 EMA – Short-term swing trades
🔹 20 EMA – Base structure (best for trending markets)
🔹 11 WEMA – Core investing filter
Moving averages alone aren’t magic.
But layer them with fundamentals, volume, and price action — and they become deadly.

Let’s break it down 👇

1. Trend Detection
The slope tells the story:
📈 Rising 21 DEMA or 11 WEMA = strength
📉 Flat or falling = caution
Don’t overcomplicate it. Trade with the slope.

2. Entry Timing
My favorite setups form around the averages:
✅ Pullbacks to 10/20 EMA
✅ Inside bars hugging MAs
✅ Tight flags sitting on the line
This gives me structure — and 2–3% risk-defined entries.

3. Exits Made Simple
You don’t need fancy logic to exit.
Trailing with EMAs keeps it clean.
Rule of thumb:
📉 A break below 11 EMA = reduce or exit
📉 Lower highs under the 10 EMA? Time to step back

4. Position Sizing & Risk
When price hugs the 10/20 EMA with low volatility, I size up.
That means:
✅ 25–30% allocation
✅ 3–4% stop-loss
✅ <=1% portfolio risk max
Tight structure = confidence to bet bigger.

5. Filters for Scanning
What I look for:
🔹 Price near 10/20 EMA
🔹 Heikin Ashi turns green
🔹 Volume dry-up + shakeout candle
🔹 Prior uptrend in place
No noise — just clean structure.

6. Multiple Timeframe Confluence
When EMAs align across timeframes, conviction grows:
📊 Daily above 21 EMA
📊 2H chart tight on 10 EMA
📊 11WEMA catching up on weekly
That’s when the edge multiplies.

7. It Keeps Me Out of Noise
MAs aren’t about prediction — they’re about alignment.
If price isn’t riding the averages, I’m not interested.
No countertrend trades. No guessing.
Just structure and flow.

In Summary:
Moving averages simplify trading.
They guide trend, entries, exits, risk, and mindset.
And if combined with volume, structure, and catalyst — they’re enough.

Everytime you now travel from Mumbai to Pune, in addition to the toll, always factor in paying Rs 2000 as a speeding fine.

Because now the entire road, including one's in Vashi, Panvel and Pune have speed cameras installed, but govt conveniently skipped telling us the speed limit.

Today I drove the entire expressway on cruise control, let absolute idiots overtake me only to find a challan for doing 70 kmph on some road in Panvel, whose speed limit was supposed to be 60.

Looks like Our Govt has stumbled on an infinite money hack, where they can randomly assign speed limits, without informing the motorists and then keep taking money from them like an infinite ATM.
