This is a slap in the face to the frontline workers assisting people in crisis (without guns in tow) who had to hustle to even get pay rises in line with inflation this year, after @MayorofSeattle proposed a budget that effectively gave them a pay cut.

This is the same Tim Burgess who - two days after King County Jail employees killed Michael Rowland (a Black unhoused man experiencing a mental health crisis) - stated, "I'm fearful that I will hear next that an arrestee has a hangnail and is declined.” 🧵
