@calebmorell Yes sir! Still does. And his model of consistent, encouraging prayer is having a ripple effect since I now do the same for my church and men I am discipling.

"It was God’s word that made us; is it any wonder that His word should sustain us? If His word gives life, do you wonder that His word should also give food for that life?"

- Spurgeon

@MattWalshBlog Luke 6:24–26 - But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full. 25 Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and cry. 26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you...

Far from making a man happy, riches often become the means of his destruction.

“Seek, O believer, that every good thing you have may be an abiding thing. May your character not be a writing upon the sand, but an inscription upon the rock!” - Spurgeon

@evangelistmatt @greglaurie @malachiobrien @AlexMurashko @gregjgordon @zmeerkreebs @Jentezen @kayleighmcenany @AbigailCBN @IdlemanShane @LyndsayMKeith It's my earnest prayer these baptisms were preceded by genuine faith & repentance. May each one join themselves to a gospel preaching, Christ exalting local church where they can be faithfully shepherded & discipled to protect & proclaim the gospel of Christ.

"Do not think it humility to say, My sins are too great to be forgiven. It is unbelief, pride and a direct affront to the truth and power of Christ." - John Newton

[Dominic Avila @Deeohem32]

What we abhor was also avoid. Abhor evil & sin today my friends.

Does your knowledge of Jesus draw you closer to Jesus? If not, that knowledge is inadequate.

"If hell-fire be not good, then sin is not good." - Baxter

[Dominic Avila @Deeohem32]

Sin dwells in hell, and holiness in heaven. Remember that every temptation is from the devil, to make you like himself. Remember when you sin, that you are learning and imitating of the devil – and are so far like him. And the end of all, is that you may feel his pains. - Baxter
