@hoshinomiru_m@vestiazeta I mean, if a person goes into your house and steals your jacket to wear, if they were to suddenly spontaneously explode, it’s not like THEIR jacket exploded because they stole it— it’s still yours… or something like that 🙂
I put Shiori as the first holodori member to play as.
I couldn’t decide between Fuwawa and Mococo so I bailed out and decided someone else from advent 😌
I just had a sudden realization that I think all the non-holo vtubers I watch most like the band Loathe. Is there like some personality trait associated with that lol
It’s cool seeing vtubers rise up in the scene that existed but def weren’t as prevalent last year like essie and nemimi. I like seeing the fanbases form, and it’s wholesome seeing the vtubers react to all the offkai merch people get to build out their oshi shrines.
@hakuyalabs@l4zufish This was SUPER cool. I hope to see more meet and greets like this in the future! I know there was some learning curve for this first time since it was all so new, but having meet and greets like this would be amazing for offkai gen 6 too.
@ExoVerseVT WAIT you’re the guy that had the absolute killer setlist in nocturne carnival right?! That was super hype. Your singing voice and stage presence is great!! I was trying to figure out who did that set but I couldn’t remember the name
@zephyrianna If someone sees their oshi in a wheelchair or whatever from their IRL appearance and that stops them from watching, they were watching for the wrong reasons in the first place.
“OffKai was basically an OnlyFans convention this year”
I went to offkai for the last two years and this year. This statement is inaccurate. There was a fansly booth, yeah. Felt like any other booth. I don’t know how you can make a statement like that when you cancelled/didn’t go.
@eruuclaymie Yours was awesome too! Besides all the cheering, I can remember my voice getting shot equally from yelling “ERUU DAI⬆️SUKe⬇️EEEEE⬆️” and cracking like a squeaky toy at some point lmao
Wow #PixelParade just ended. That was SO much fun. The entire crowd in the small-ish bar really was into the moment which just heightened it.
Eva Ananova had a BANGER song choice. First time in the night I did a full on headbang. I forgot to take a picture while getting lost in the moment ahhh, but I digress.
Eruu Claymie did an AMAZING job, crazy to think that was her first performance for a live venue?! Great work! I hope to see you sing more for the future!
Chikafuji Lisa (in the words she said during MC) “HELL YEAH” lmao. Stunning song choice, can’t go wrong with songs from the album. The vibe of the songs really stood out as well amidst all the night’s setlists.
Really I could go on and on. I really loved Peo’s sweet performance, Nana’s very powerful performance, Riku’s insane vocals…
It was a beautiful way to end the night and the crazy offkai weekend too. I’ll remember this for awhile. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to take a shower because it was HOT in there and I and a bunch of other super sweaty guys went moshing to Kingslayer by BMTH which was another perfectly chosen song (… but tbh I need to look up which vtuber sang that later).
Thank you all the vtubers who participated, thank you virtual takeover staff for making it happen, and thank you bartender guy for letting me down like 3 or 4 glasses of water in a row like shots before going back into the crowd lol
It’s always funny seeing myself in videos like this if I’m in the crowd because I just see my freakin jiggling pero hat lmao
Also, this performance was really fun!
Shout out to all the discord ruffians that guide me with my bad sense of direction to this. I may have sprinted down the streets of san jose in a freakin flopping pero hat and happy LIFE IS BAU BAU shirt with a nearby shooting that occurred,
BUT I MADE THE LAST 3.5 SONGS. 🤘
AND I DIDN’T GET SHOT 🤘
Hell yeah. I did not repeat the ultimate FOMO of offkai2025. I was so disappointed with myself back then because I held myself back from going after having social anxiety. This year, with a bit of a push from friends, I was able to get there for the last bit. If it happens next year, I hope to make the full thing! Legitimately made me want to tear up from being able to make it (but I stopped myself lol).
It’s something really beautiful seeing the community come together from all sorts of different fanbases and walks of life but connected through vtubing—enjoying the moment. Heck even in the post trash pickup process, there was a fellow ruffian and I working with a Liacon and I think a few other fanbases working on it.
Everyone was super friendly. I pulled right up to the song sitdown, out of breath from running, and then just cheered alongside as if I had been there the full time.
Also big shoutout to Nana for holding this. If she wasn’t willing to go on for what— 3 hours(?) I wouldn’t have been able to make it and I would have been disappointed with myself again. The songs were fantastic as always. (Nana is kinda lowkey my fav vtuber singer with the passion and emotional depth she puts into the vocals, so I was kind fanboying to myself being there as well ngl LOL)
AND it gave me a good moment to say goodbye to some friends.
Ok, now THIS was a good to end of offkai. Thanks everyone who made this weekend happen 🙏
@VirtualTakeovr Thank you staff for putting this together and thank you all the vtubers for the WONDERFUL performances. I stayed from start to finish with never feeling a dull moment. I enjoyed it thoroughly!
