Naomi Osaka on her Wimbledon Kimono:
"The kimono... we had to get it from Japan... there's this anime called Bleach. It's one of my favorites. I don't want to bore you, but anyway, I feel like I'm channeling a character from that whenever I wear the kimono in that way."

Hey racists/anti-immigrants that are always crying “go back to your country,”
7 of the 9 goals in Canadian World Cup history has come from an immigrant/child of immigrants:
Alphonso Davies: Liberian (born in a refugee camp in Ghana)
Cyle Larin: Jamaican
Jonathan David: Haitian (born in Brooklyn)
William Saliba: Haitian-Lebanese
Sam Adekugbe (he did not score a goal, but forced an own goal vs Morocco back in 2022): Nigerian (born in London, UK)
If you’re enjoying this success Canada is having lately, a large part of it is because of immigration.
I totally agree. It’s an echo chamber fueled by Hindutva. It’s very similar to Zionism in the sense that both are right-wing political ideologies, not just religious ones.
While they use religious symbols to gain support, they are actually forms of ethnonationalism. Both ideologies seek to establish a state where one specific group has total dominance, often leading to systemic violence and the dehumanization of 'others' to justify it.
The people you see online are the loudest and most radicalized, but they thrive on that 'us vs. them' mentality. Most people are just trying to live their lives, but these political movements weaponize the internet to make their hatred seem like the norm. It’s definitely not worth your energy to argue with people whose heads are full of that kind of rhetoric.
