75 years ago, the Festival of Britain brought design, science, and technology to the public as a celebration of the country's future.

In 2026, Britain needs another future-facing moment: one built around frontier science, hard technology and the people turning it into companies.

Most technology makes something cheaper or faster.

Some technologies push the fundamental constraint of civilisation.

From fire to the steam engine to the transistor.

Each one removed a hard limit on what people could do, and led to new forms of activity as the world reorganised around what was suddenly possible.

We have chosen five questions of Civilisational Importance for the talks at our inaugural summit on 8th October.

Each question is put to five founders each convinced their technology is the one that produces a civilisational scale outcome.

Then they sit down to debate the future.
