First Early Look of 'Impact Soccer' - A physics-based soccer game w/ no ball, pummel opponents to the ground or kick them free standing to score goals. Control your speed, angle, & kick power to execute major curves on strikes. ALL feedback welcome & looking for play testers 🤝
Game Dev Tip:
When using AI to help develop your game, prompt your LLM to analyze your game and create a lineup of multiple different permanent agents (all Opus 5.5 for my setup) that can be assigned to work on different aspects of the game. Then tell the LLM to have each agent to review the project to gain an understanding of what the game is and what the tech stack is like, then do deep research on their domain of expertise.
The ability to now have a team of agents working on many different tasks in parallel has saved me significant time. I can freely brain dump all the different ideas I have through out the day without having to wait for my single LLM to free up their context.
Different projects will have different types of agents spun up, but for Impact Soccer it made me 2 different game play coding agents, a graphics designer, a social media manager, a gameplay testing agent, multi-platform performance reviewer, sound and audio agent, project manager/planner, platform compliance agent, and a few others.
Hope this is helpful 🤝
Having Miyamoto be supportive of AI as an enabling tool to allow anyone to express their creativity in games, is the ultimate mic drop. How could anyone contest the legend? And this speaks volumes about the mindset you need to have to create something truly amazing. Creating biases in your mind can be a major blocker on your creative spirit.
@LLMJunky I think we need to understand more about the prompt that was given, what company data it was already trained on, and just more info about what led up to that.
Hell yeah! And I was there for defi summer as well lol. That was wild times. But yeah I’ve seen this switch flip with IRL friends as well and it’s like all of a sudden it just clicks and then it’s off to the races lol. I’ve been an AI junkie ever since Chat GPT first came roaring onto the scene in like maybe 2022(?). Anyways these are crazy times and the moat is now your imagination. Do with that what you will 🤝
Appreciate this. First timer here with game just launched. My theory is there is a fast cycle through on the trending tycoon type games, but I think there is a bit more stickiness to skill based competitive games to attract more longer term players. Personally I tend to attract to those types of games more for replay value vs the tycoon, but I’m much older than y’all lol. We’ll see how this plays out.
Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, the acclaimed designer behind Super Mario and Zelda, has explained why he believes generative AI won’t make human creativity obsolete.
"There will always be a role left for us to play."
