Oh my god...! I just realized it! That the entire generative AI debate is purposely being manufactured by corporations to pit people against each other. They've created paranoia in artists, musicians and coders that they'll lose their jobs.

You have those that hope to use generative AI to make money. Whether it be people hoping for a get-rich-quick scheme, or the artists, musicians and coders trying to keep up with the demand.

They know the process can be tedious, repetitive and that it takes time, so offering a solution to drastically cut that time down is extremely appealing.

So, while there are people using it in hopes of easy money, there are genuine people who have worked hard that feel pressured into opting into generative AI subscriptions.

Then you have the side fully opposed to generative AI. People who have worked hard their whole life to get where they are and understand the value of the process, or smaller artists that feel threatened by the generative AI push.

Now you bring these two opposing sides into direct conflict with each other and it's devolved into chaos. People mocking artists, artists mocking people for using AI. The vitriolic hatred further pushes each side against one another and makes each side feel justified in their actions.

This entire situation was created by the corporations and groups who are pushing for generative AI to be the norm. They're the ones who are actively damaging society and the real problem.

AI data centers, ram prices, the environmental damage are all a result of greed from those that continues to want more money than they'd ever need in their entire lifetime.

They know that there's nothing that we can truly do about it on our own. It's causing people to go at each other's throats to distract everyone from the genuine real issues.

We can't let them do this.

If only it was that simple. They're not going to toss away the easy money. You can tell them all day about the environmental issues or the ethical issues or to maybe slow down on the constant need for new products to sell. They do not care.

The only way to stop it would be to make it illegal, and that would mean trusting the government and law makers to do that. Sure, there are some who care, but there's also those who benefit from the generative AI boom that would never allow it.

We could all vote against AI, but the truth is that they can simply just not do it if they don't want to. There'd be nothing we could do to stop them. Especially since we're as divided as we are.

Ya know what's funny? All the propaganda involving protecting the planet pushed by groups who are the ones actually causing the damage. They tell us WE'RE the problem and blame it on us like the average joe needs thousands of logs or that our little car is damaging the environment.

Then they tell us to buy electric cars and donate to "charities" to plant trees and shit. It's all a money laundering scheme to milk empathetic people of their cash when they're the ones who caused it in the first place!

You want to tell me these lazy bastards cannot replant some goddamn trees on their own and need us to spend money to do it? It's all bullshit! They don't care about the environment at all.

And when we do bring up the environmental effects, they ignore it because it's what's making them money. Greedy people who only see care for themselves and not the stability of the human race into the far future.

They damn well know the damage AI is causing and simply do not care. Their obsession with constantly pumping out products to get more money has led us to this problem.

I was wanting to try getting into the Hololive TCG, though I have no one really to play with. I thought it might be fun though to maybe try collecting, though I usually don't have much money to spare each month.

I'd like to see if they sell any around where I live, though if I can't I'll try buying some online. Does anyone have recommendations on where to buy them online for a good price?

Generative AI is both the problem and solution put together. The true market for generative AI subscriptions and tools is aimed at those who actually already have an understanding of art, music and coding.

You have the average joes who see this as a get-rich-quick scheme, like crypto or nfts. With the pushback and the focus on exposing AI art, they're not going to make the big bucks that they think they would.

The fear of losing their jobs if they don't adapt to AI pushes people to find ways to utilize the tool or be left behind. If they can continue making a living by taking advantage of generative AI tools, that incentive is enough to push them into using it.

Art is more than just a product to many people. It's about expression. Same with music. Though coding is one of those things that's very monotonous. I think that's probably the most appealing thing of generative AI is to speed up the boring part.

The average person can try to use AI for it, but not understanding it means you won't really know what you're doing or can manually address issues. So those who understand coding will be able to utilize it much more effectively.

The outrage and volatile reactions from both sides of the argument are manufactured on purpose by corporations to distract people from the true issues. The environmental damage from AI usage is large.

We're meant to be tricked into thinking the issue is solely an ethics one, and not an enviromental one.

Yeah. It's more a matter of convenience than revolutionizing anything. It's why I think more people should stop focusing on getting into fights with AI-bros and such. I know it might make people feel better or like they're winning, but the truth is it's all simply a distraction purposely manufactured by corporations.

@hitsujimamoru @neokuudere Yeah. That's why I think that it's not the average joe with no understanding or experience with coding, art or music that this is aimed for. It's aimed at those who do have experience and knowledge to know how to utilize the tools effectively.
