I do not know if it is just me, but what I see in this graph is that the “rise of the billionaire class” coincides with entire regions of the world eradicating poverty.
There was a negligible amount of billionaire wealth in South/Southeast Asia or East Asia in the 1980s. But, according to the World Bank, more than 1.5 billion people were living in extreme poverty in these regions at the end of that decade. Today, this number has been cut by 90%, despite demographic growth.
Asia is driving the rise of the billionaire class in this graph. Within the Western world, the billionaire class has merely shifted from Europe to the US.
Were the economic policy changes implemented in Asia over the past 40 years much worse for the general population than those in the Middle East and North Africa, which have contained their billionaire class?
They Promised: 6,500 new teachers.
Reality: 1,900 fewer teachers.
They said: School Fee VAT could be absorbed.
Reality: Private schools are shrinking faster than forecast, with closures and pupil transfers putting more pressure on state schools.
Wrong forecast.
Wrong policy.

@spanishpete7@NeilDotObrien I believe the post is about England Pedro. Your perpetual governing party has made Scotland's state school system even worse than ours so maybe pipe down?
Labour said "every penny" from the spiteful education tax would go on more state school teachers.
There are new 1,900 *fewer* state school teachers.
As Labour admit themselves - their only priority is Benefit Street
@ZackPolanski If you actually had fully funded policies, you would gain a shred of financial credibility.
Institute for Fiscal Studies on Green Party plans:
@ZackPolanski We're in hock because we go to them to borrow money to pay for our bloated welfare state that even with record tax takes we can't fund. Catch up Dave 🤦♀️
@catsu_curry@Stan_Politics1@PolitlcsUK I kind of agree with you both.I empathise with the younger generations in terms of ability to progress.Labour prioritised give aways over relaxing planning laws, they have disincentivised work by their handouts and employment taxes- back to the 70's with no Thatcher to address it.
