Why are people so obsessed with “what’s your starting midfield pair?” etc and definitive answers to who starts every game?

United are building a squad with good depth, and players in similar positions with different characteristics for changing game states and differing opposition. The starters can rotate without quality suffering.

It’s starting to look quite smart. Still need more signings but it looks like United know what’s required.

Tielemans doesn’t rely on athleticism he reads the game and has a great understanding of timing his defensive actions. That guy has dominated players that are seen to be more athletic than him too
