An arrestee support group that prioritizes marginalized people in jail as well as houseless people in our community. We are not the GDC

Hey! We just dropped the link to buy some super amazing crewnecks! Only 85 available for purchase and all proceeds go to our winter fundraising efforts! https://t.co/oEhGC01ASF
A solemn reminder that even in times of grief & crisis, it is never in the best interest of you or your community to speak freely with the police. If you are approached or asked to make a comment, demand a lawyer be present. And as always, reach out to us if you need any support
We’re hurting together, please use this time to have grace for one another. We need to get through this as a community, this is not the time to place blame on comrades. Thank you to the medics and everyone who did what they could, you’re the backbone.
As we grieve together and our hearts break together, remember that the state is watching us and that we aren’t safe to detail our experiences on socials, as much as we may want to. Keep photos, videos, and first hand accounts to a minimum so that you don’t receive a knock.
As always, do not answer door knocks and if you get one call the mass defense hotline right away. Groups like us exist for a reason and it’s to keep each other safe, informed, and strong. If you’re unsure ask us, mass defense, or other Arestee support groups in Portland.
they cannot require you to give a statement, and cannot interview you, with no notice. you are entitled to an attorney.
if they knock at 4am and say they need to speak with you, they will wait until your attorney is present to do so.
as always: Shut the Fuck Up.
Hot line is up and running. Check on all your people tonight, have a person who’s going to be waiting to hear if you’re home safe. Hold your comrades close tonight Portland.
If you see this woman in your neighborhood, doing these awful tours, trying to sell you snacks, trying to rent her air bnb, or trying to sell you her trash sex therapy, please let her know her presence is not welcome.
A woman named Kat Severi has come up with the most fucked up grift weve seen in 2022 so far. She’s offering “bike slum tours” Yup thats right, she wants you to pay her to bike around encampments and gawk at poverty like zoo animals. Her Twitter is @PdxShakti
If you see this happening in your neighborhood please stop it. She was even quoted saying she helps people by giving them her “human contact at her own risk”. This woman is deranged and no stranger to grifting, in fact she will likely try to sell you her air Bnb while on the tour
Its important that our support for prisoners isnt contingent on if a person did or didn’t do the “crime” they’re convinced of. The entire movement falls apart as soon as we attach a lesser value to people who “broke the law” Every comrade serving time is worthy of your attention
While many are seeing release, many others are getting ready for trial and/or plea deals, then sentencing. It will be decades before our work of supporting these comrades concludes. Love & solidarity to all the individuals, AGs, and orgs committed to seeing this thru to the end!
Tomorrow! 1/20 at 6p join the PCCEP Racial Equity Subcommittee & help members response to the inflammatory slides in the PPB training video. Please share! More info at: https://t.co/JxHqlvqzjl
Important discussion this Sunday on body cameras with @PCCEPportland. I personally don’t believe body cameras will improve our current situation until we redress organization culture and building/following the best policies. Trust is built through actions, not cameras.
A black family needs help with funeral costs after losing a loved one. He was tragically murdered in Dec and is leaving behind a sister and three kids. They have not had money to bury him and he is still at the morgue 💔

🚨 Prisoner Hisham Abu-Hawash, who was on a 141-day hunger strike, will be free on February 26. An amazing victory. Now we must focus our efforts on protesting the draconian Israeli practice of “administrative detention” (imprisoning people indefinitely without charges or trial).
