Why I create this @SonicLabs Maxi Account ?
I’m obsessed with #art and #DeFi sounds weird, but it clicks for me. Staring at Picasso’s Guernica one day, I thought of @AndreCronjeTech , a blockchain genius I rate as highly as Picasso. Both nailed the classics but spent their lives smashing rules, making stuff that’s either loved or totally baffling.
Picasso said it took him four years to paint like #Raphael but a lifetime to paint like a kid. Andre’s the same. He mastered blockchain, built @yearnfi like a pro, then went wild—Fantom, Sonic Labs, crazy DeFi ideas that push every limit. That fearless, playful vibe hooks me.
I started this @ @SonicLabs Maxi account to jump into that world. Sonic Labs isn’t just a fast blockchain with 10,000 TPS or slick tech like Sonic Gateway. It’s a DeFi playground where anything goes—on-chain insurance, decentralized credit, you name it. I’m here to back Andre’s vision, like I back Picasso for his bold, messy strokes that shook the world.
As a Picasso and DeFi fanboy, Sonic Labs feels like pure creative freedom. This account’s my ticket to join Andre and the crew, cheering and building the future of blockchain, one wild stroke at a time.
Hope $S fam loves this story.

The biggest DEX on Sonic $S is priced at a $1M mcap. I have never seen a chain recover after everything is obliterated: no infrastructure, no trading volume, no meme coins, a failed airdrop with no platform to trade the vested tokens, no NFT platform, and rigged governance proposals from @beets_fi .
After selling my position, I am finally at peace. I'm very angry I got scammed by Andre and co. They are not the saints they portray themselves as. They profited every time you lost money; how do you think those big treasuries were built? Teams dump on you and then pretend they didn't. Still to this day noone from Sonic was fired, unbelievable
Andre's been involved with Sonic (then Fantom) since June 2018.
At the time I was at a fund that fundraised for the project. After the previous team had messed up and plagiarised their technical paper, we were about to close it until Andre convinced us that he was already developing technology we could use. We decided to keep the project going.
It was the best decision.
Andre worked 24/7 to get the chain launched. If it wasn't for him, Fantom would've died in 2018. It was him and the team that took a project that was under $6m market cap in January 2019 to billions of dollars.
He's been the MVP for Sonic. But you treat him as if he's done nothing.
Stop engaging in conspiracies like "he's deliberately sabotaging Sonic" or "suppressing price" and others. Because it's just rubbish and the complete opposite of the truth.
You criticise him because of one issue on one graphic. Yet if you bother to read the FT docs and The Block article (which to be fair a few have) you'll see things like:
> "The FT token contract: Is initially deployed with 10 billion tokens minted on Sonic chain (ID 146)";
> ftUSD graphic using Aave + Beets as an example;
> Zero-fee trading on Sonic;
Just let the man work. Andre is by far the most creative + technically competent dev I've met in my life.
Excited to step into the role of CEO @SonicLabs.
With best-in-class tech, a strong treasury, and a solid foundation, our focus now is assembling a global executive team to drive adoption, strengthen institutional partnerships, and continue to scale Sonic globally.
Congratulations to @MitchellDemeter on the new position!
Andre and I have been involved since 2018, taking a project from nothing to a billion dollar market cap.
I’m proud of the technology and chain we’ve developed.
But it’s time to take Sonic to the next level.
We 100% support Mitchell to succeed. When he succeeds we all win.
.@SonicLabs DEX volume is showing strong momentum
- 24h volume: $55.36M
- 7D volume: $286.29M
- Weekly change: +37.68%
On Sept 26, daily volume hit $56.21M, ranking among the highest this month.
Despite a slight dip in TVL, trading activity on Sonic’s DEX remains robust.
Sonic continues to attract healthy liquidity even in a volatile market.
Flying Tulip: A New Approach to Unified Liquidity in DeFi
@flyingtulip_ created by @AndreCronjeTech caught my eye for combining LP capital efficiency, native limit orders, and more realistic lending risk into one integrated protocol.
The project is still in its pre-launch phase, with core features and liquidity yet to be fully rolled out.
At a high level, Flying Tulip is an on-chain platform that combines spot, perpetuals, lending, options and structured yield into a single liquidity stack. The core idea is to let liquidity providers, traders and borrowers interact with the same mechanics so capital isn’t stuck across many siloed systems.
What makes it stand out:
- Hybrid AMM + on-chain order book (CLOB): LP liquidity and limit orders coexist natively, reducing fragmentation and letting traders use limit orders without a separate exchange.
- Volatility aware curves: the bonding curve adapts to market regimes to try to reduce slippage and impermanent loss during volatile periods.
- Impact sensitive lending (dynamic LTV): borrowing limits are linked to the estimated cost to exit (slippage/impact), aiming to lower liquidation spirals.
- One stop product set: having spot, perps, lending and structured yield in one ecosystem can boost capital efficiency compared with using multiple protocols.
I’m intrigued but cautious: these are complex innovations and complexity increases attack surface and economic edge cases. I’d want to see independent audits, official contract addresses, multisig treasury details, and on-chain performance data before moving real capital.
One change we made for Sonic Summit this time was inviting speakers from outside of Sonic
In Vienna, the focus was 100% Sonic.
In Singapore, we dedicated about 10–15% to external voices, bringing in fresh perspectives and challenging the conversations already happening
I believe this is the key to introducing new concepts and sparking deeper, more productive dialogue
That said, don’t get it twisted, our ecosystem partners remain deeply involved and will always be central to the Summit Series
Thanks for the honest feedback.
@0xseg working hard to improve the product for full release.
Spawn should be a helpful tool for developers, not replace them.
