@king97cade @BioDeclassified Because Capcom went through major issues at that time. The main writer that was building all those plot points in RE2, RECV, RE0, etc DIED and much of the staff left over corporate reasons around that time. Mikami remade RE4 from scratch and a new direction chosen.

@DrewMcWeeny Are people still talking about that? The only way James Cameron ripped her off is if she invented time travel, too, considering she insisted she created it in the late 80's and Cameron wrote The Terminator in the early 80's.

Happy 25th Anniversary to Devil May Cry!

It’s crazy to think that this game almost didn't exist, originally started development as an early prototype for Resident Evil 4.

But when director Hideki Kamiya’s vision of a super-powered, sword-juggling protagonist in a gothic castle strayed a little too far from survival horror, Capcom made an amazing pivot for an entire new franchise!

Don Coscarelli writes, "Reggie Bannister was a gifted creative collaborator, a dear friend & will be sincerely missed."

Bannister starred in all 5 Phantasm films.

They willingly clash with figureheads who've turned a blind eye to the realities of good and evil, burying them under sufficiently convincing images of each.
