We hope that DLSC Cohort 3 had an interesting week studying leadership and change in the logistics context. Always difficult to work so collaboratively on line - thanks for all the engagement- welcome back to the world of study.
A good read from 2014. Why not read the chapters on Logistics and Procurement- good links to strategy and the impact of Military Logistics. After all there are not that many out there.
Found this by accident- a view of the “fourth arm of Defence”. Very interesting view of the industrial base and impact on strategy. Works well with the definition of Logistics from Eccles as the bridge between the home base and the front line. https://t.co/IQ3GklW6SQ
Good to be connected- thanks for the text Trevor.
Just starting - but looking forward to searching for lessons on large scale logistics in peer on peer operations.
@TurnerJobie@AirPowerSchool This looks good- we can match it - the Univerity of Lincoln has worked with UK Defence Logistics to offer a PhD. Details can be found in the Defence Instructions Notice. Alumni of the DLSC are very welcome to apply.

I hope this is what we do on the Defence Logistics Staff Course. Working hard to provide UK military Logisticians with “military training, CPD and Academic education in an integrated manner...”

Very interesting article on the RML- we might see this as Defence Logistics Transformation in the Uk.

Thanks Jobbie- I thought this was really interesting. I have had several students wanting to compare the SCs . Although they clearly don't share the same values there is some cross over in the SC concepts. Swarms of autonomous supply vehicles evading an enemy- great concept.
@DoctorCPhillips At the University of Lincoln we Deliver the Defence Logistics Staff Course. Based around an 50% MSc in Logistics and 50% defence studies. Perhaps we could chat?

An interesting view on engaging with Industry in time of crisis based on Covid 19 lessons from the UK.
