@andyburnham why are the Government 'robustly defending the ban'? Is it a case of the same old rubbish different bucket? Or has the Labour Party learned from its many mistakes?
The New York City Mayor has called on the US federal government to arrest the Israeli Prime Minister.
After reviewing “every possible avenue”, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he acknowledged that the city did not have the “authority” to enforce an arrest warrant made on the Benjamin Netanyahu by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in 2024.
“The federal government, however, does, and I call on them to join the ICC and execute this warrant,” he said.
Israel responded to Mamdani's comments on Sunday in a post on X that called the ICC a 'kangaroo court' and said the arrest warrant against Netanyahu was bogus.
President Donald Trump on Monday told Netanyahu in a social media post that he “will not be arrested, in any way, shape, or form, while in the United States of America.”
It comes after Trump publicly denounced the ICC earlier this month.

Jarell Quansah has his red card ban extended to two matches. FIFA will consider an appeal, if the England defender can prove he’s either American or Argentinian or a brown envelope stuffed with cash
🚨 REVEALED: The Man Behind Count Binface
The satirical candidate known as Count Binface is comedian and BBC comedy writer Jonathan David Harvey.
He is a Remain voter who strongly opposes Brexit, Trump, and right-wing politics. It has also been reported he said Britain should welcome all migrants.
His costume may bring laughter, and visible fun to by elections but he is asset of the deep state to undermine democracy and right-wing politics.
Bottom line: Voting for Count Binface isn’t supporting some harmless novelty act.
It’s a vote for Labour.
Alright let’s have a proper scientific poll now, so please share / repost for a nice big range of views. If you lived in Clacton, who would you vote for?

NOT GUILTY
Another seven Just Stop Oil supporters acquitted after slow march.
When juries hear the motivations for peaceful protests, that motivation being to save lives, they find defendants not-guilty.
This is why juries matter. It’s common sense!

@FormbyBubble@seftoncouncil The @FormbyParish council Geotechnical report suggests that land instability could be caused by the cheap and loud piling method @Redrow is using and thst bored (quieter) piling was a better engineering solution. This is what you get when you cut corners.
Student politics according to @afneil is calling out the state of Israel for committing genocide and those who are complicit.
Andrew Neil is by implication engaging in the grown up politics of normalising war crimes and ethnic cleansing.
I came to the conclusion sometime ago, that the best way to change the Labour Party, was to vote @TheGreenParty@ZackPolanski, and I would encourage people to continue to do so. God knows you'll never get anything close to socialism from the Labour Party.
Burnham becoming PM unelected and unopposed, after doing bugger all, would be a travesty of democracy. Labour Party, do the right thing. I will have no vote, no say, but somebody bloody well should. Let’s see multiple candidates, at least, for God’s sake.
He got fewer votes than Jeremy Corbyn at the 2019 GE, which @RachelReevesMP describes as worst ever defeat, lost over 200,000 members! And left the labour party in such an existential crisis that the only person that could rescue them wasn't even a labour MP until last Thursday!
From taking our party from the worst defeat in modern history, @Keir_Starmer turned it around and delivered a landslide majority just four years later.
