LITTLE BIGHORN BATTLEFEILD MONUMENT
Taken in the early 1880's, just a few years after the battle in 1876, stakes mark the positions where Custer's troopers died, and were buried.
In 1890, marble headstones (249 of them) replaced the stakes.
