HIGH SCHOOL RECRUITS: Here is your annual reminder...
Do not look at where student athletes COMMIT to college. Look at where they FINISH college and ask about the job opportunities they have at graduation. Like anything, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish! #DekiPSA

🚨 Major NCAA Soccer rule changes for 2026-27 season! ⚽
Key updates across men’s & women’s soccer:
• Video Challenges: Each team gets 2 challenges per game. Officials can initiate reviews in the final 10 min of regulation/OT only if a team is out of challenges. (Goal: get big calls right without slowing the game.)
• Goalkeeper Release: Increased to 8 seconds (with visual countdown for last 5). Corner kick if violated. Aligns with international rules.
• Substitutions: Allowed any time clock is stopped in DII/DIII men’s and all women’s divisions (already in DI men’s).
Other notable changes:
• Violent behavior red cards reviewed by NCAA secretary-rules editor + committee (not just on-field ref).
• Up to 4 commercial logos allowed on field (outside penalty areas).
• DI: Mandatory 4th official + video match official (on-site or centralized).
• Yellow cards to staff charged to head coach.
• Running clock in last 15 min (5+ goal margin) in women’s + DII/DIII men’s regular season.
• Red card penalties are per incident (no extra for multiples).
• Data devices allowed on wrist/arm if padded/covered.
• Weather delays: Max 3-hour wait before/after start.
