DePaul head coach Chris Holtmann on finding players to embrace the University when recruiting:
“Without a question, the transactional nature of college sports is completely a punch in the gut to the team concept of a team approach. It just is. That's the reality. So you're trying to identify people in the recruiting process who really do value the experience of seeing their university perform at maybe a higher level, leaving a legacy. It's a harder thing to find. It's the because of the nature of how much movement there is and how transactional it is. It is an absolute hard punch to the gut to everything you want to teach, but we have a group that I believe really does want to leave a legacy, leave this place better than they found it.”
A legacy that lives on 💙
