It’s time to roll back the scr,dpf,def rules. It would save 30k per pickup and 60k per semi. The stuff is unreliable. So much so the military and the presidents limo do not have it. If it’s not reliable enough for all of you. It’s not for us either. Ford, Ram and Chevrolet sell pickups without this garbage to the rest of the world. But at home they sell this trash to us. The epa has punished numerous people who have gotten tired of it and provided options to do away with it.
What’s dirtier. A diesel letting small amounts of emissions everywhere, or a diesel that stores all of it up and regenerates and dumps it all in one area? Because that’s what happens.
Plus it takes fuel to regenerate and lowers fuel mileage.
Turn back the clock at least to a standard egr and no scr, dpf. Make the manufacturers provide the required parts to remove the junk.
