It's long past time for editorial boards across the U.S. to call for Trump to: (1) resign; (2) be removed via the 25th Am; and (3) to be impeached. They don't have to choose which way he should be removed, but they must explicitly argue that he cannot be allowed to remain POTUS.
NEW: Trump’s DOJ isn’t the Apprentice. The AG can’t just tell an AUSA “You’re fired” at will. Judge finds AG’s firing Maurene Comey VIOLATED the separation of powers and federal law, and GRANTED her retroactive reinstatement and back pay through 12/20/25 - when she got a new job.
Beyond proud of Maurene and her stellar team of lawyers for stepping up to make this challenge to the onslaught of illegal firings of public servants by this admin. 👏⚖️
Judge Furman rules that Maureen Comey's firing violated separation of powers. Orders backpay. Govt's arguments violate 2 centuries of SCOTUS rulings & would "unsettle the equilibrium established by this Nation's constitutional system."

Why does Donald Trump keep talking about people’s asses as part of his campaign speeches? Can any MAGA person actually justify this? It’s so fucking weird
No ifs, ands, or butts about it. The GOP will be glad to have this campaign behind them, in the rear-view mirror. Not to be cheeky about it—it’s just one of those throw-the-bums-out cycles.
The inhibition is entirely gone. Yeah, he’s always been a rude, obsessive pervert, but he at least knew how to self-regulate for his own benefit. That is gone, and barely anyone seems to be asking why.
This US attorney is way outside his lane. The Constitution gives states the power to control elections. If he has evidence that a state is violating federal law, he can challenge it in court. Ethics laws forbid this kind of extra-judicial smear about a party in pending litigation.
A blanket presidential pardon for crimes that have never been charged has never been fully litigated.
People committing crimes for trump, or in connection with trump, take the risk that they will be successfully prosecuted by a future DOJ.
Please follow and read @craigunger, whose tweets are just invaluable. We followed each other under my old account, which I’m gradually reassembling in my new one, and I’m so glad to reconnect with him now:
The president is considering mass pardons for his enablers. But they’d be foolish to assume the next administration will honor them. https://t.co/g7itM4yibz
