With 2025 on the horizon, I'm more determined than ever to ensure Cherokee Nation is represented everywhere, but especially in the halls of Congress. We have work to do, but together, we'll make it happen! Until then, I wish all of you a Happy New Year!
The past year has been unforgettable. From meeting with leaders at @OneYoungWorld to panel discussions at @sxsw to even walking the red carpet with @lily_gladstone, I'm grateful to have the opportunity to represent @CherokeeNation and amplify our stories on a global stage.
Wonderful to be back at the White House for this year’s holiday reception. @FLOTUS did an incredible job with the Christmas decorations, and I had a chance to speak with administration officials about the work we’ve accomplished for Indian Country over the last four years.
189 years later, the promise to seat this Delegate remains unfulfilled. On this somber anniversary, we’re again calling on Congress to #SeatTheDelegate.
On this day in 1835, @CherokeeNation and the U.S. Government signed the Treaty of New Echota, which led to the Trail of Tears, but also gave Cherokee Nation the right to a Delegate seat in Congress.
This is a time of year filled with generosity and kindness — values worth carrying into each and every day of 2025! Wishing you and yours a joyous holiday season. 🎄✨
It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas around the W.W. Keeler Tribal Complex! 🎄✨ We held our Holiday Open House on Wednesday with special appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus! 🎅🏽🤶🏼 Cherokee Nation departments were set up throughout the complex to hand out holiday treats.
Monday, I joined @SecDebHaaland, @BuuVanNygren, Anthony Morgan Rodman, Chief @ChuckHoskin_Jr, & other Native leaders at the @WhiteHouse Tribal Nations Summit. Representing @CherokeeNation was an honor — I’m committed to building on the progress we’ve made. https://t.co/H4yfCHl6AM
