@SydneyLWatson@the_K_R_M I live in one of these communities and it is very clean. Like ppl ask me when they visit, why is there no trash anywhere like in the crap white/black/hispanic neighborhoods we all grew up in?
After years, there's a lot not to like but rubbish disposal habits here isn't one.
@RealJamesWoods@DangerousThinkg Saw something similar to this in a park on Easter Sunday in TX. We happened to be in the direction they were bowing and I proclaimed loudly to my princess that they must be confused and think that I am their king!
@MatrixMysteries It's hard to take a guy seriously about his professional career skills who knew was posting to the entire internet and chose to wear a baseball t with that massive hole under the collar. He comes off as a lazy, unprofessional, whiny slob and I wouldn't want him on my team.
@jack226RE@juicystar1908@KellyIsRightTX It's the arrogance of it that turns so many off. I live in one of these 'model communities' and there really is a belief that none of this would exist/progress without the perceived excellence of certain outsiders. Humility could help. Hard to find in most cultures nowadays.
@SigniusNetworks@one_miloo I can vouch for this bc I'm a hack that hates cutting trim angles but saw this and thought: "is this the shortcut I've been dreaming of?"
My taste can be a bit unrefined but I do like how it looks when it's all flush. Good point on the internal corners variability in old houses
Dude what a tragedy and absolute miscarriage of justice for this husband and father. Oooh that board member sitting there scoffing and grinning with his smug ass.... what a mfer. You can tell this is about the top dogs in that small town/county and protecting their own. It's ridiculous that this family has had their lives upended and torn apart by an entitled spoiled kid from a connected family. Oh I hope some powerful influential people get wind of this in his state and can step up to help him in this battle. Let the Feds step up for this man and nail those arrogant assholes to the wall. It's absolutely a disgrace and travesty that justice has eluded this man and his family. God please watch over them as they heal and give them the strength and wisdom to fight until every wrong has been righted. Expose all the dark deeds of the corrupt board members and police dept who conspired against this father and husband seeking answers as to what happened that night and how the culprit was able to skate relatively unscathed thru the local justice system.
@GigglingGanon Definitely don't agree with the cops actions here but that plot twist where right after they shove him inside on the couch and he says "That's my son!" definitely lends a bit of credibility back to them. He was d* but com'n... he prolly knew they were there for his a*hole sonny.
@shayfarmkid If it's a permanent crop, why is it getting dug up at 18 years? Nice video, but on the one hand we're saying it's permanent, on the other we're saying it's time to dig it up at 18 years bc the field is reaching the end of its life? I don't understand. Is it permanent or not?
@KelemenCari Wait 'til you realize whose kids get to go to public pre-k (in Texas) while you're stuck paying for private pre-k or losing a year schooling at a pivotal developmental age.
Every apprentice who’s ever stared at a burnt-out panel at 2 AM wondering why they didn’t just go to college instead.
You’re crawling through attics with fiberglass in your neck, making $18/hr while some 22-year-old with a psych degree complains about “the economy.” Old panels that look like spaghetti, homeowners breathing down your neck, and that one breaker that “worked fine yesterday.”
But then you start knocking out clean installs. You’re the one who actually knows how not to burn the house down. You’re pulling wire, fixing what the last guy half-assed, and stacking skills nobody can offshore.
That moment when the money finally catches up and you realize you can fix your own shit, charge what you’re worth, and still have calluses instead of debt?
Yeah. That’s the trade life.
@jetbound87@SM_TechB3aute Lack in skill and efficiency is made up for in submissiveness (risk = potentially lost visa), ambition (whatever it takes!), diversity (not white/m to HR), no shame with boundaries (persistant AND insistant), and "puppy dog innocence" hiding a shrewd and often manipulative core.
@Evan_Hand From what I’ve seen on the soccer guys, it’s a mix of either really good or guys that never made it and have something to prove.
The national travel needs to stop. Regional focus needs to come back. Competitive rec needs to come back. And they need to stop locking up fields
@Disco77Cowboy@girdley whatever's happened in San Antonio over the last 15 years is dramatic though. it's like the leaders there have become complacent and 'too compassionate' like out west. even on the riverwalk, they let homeless sleep under the bridges at all times of day around tourist families
@Disco77Cowboy@girdley Took my family through Austin and San Antonio a couple times last year. I was shocked by the number of homeless junkies wandering around San Antonio, especially in downtown. I expected to see that in Austin but didn't. Spent time in college in this area and it wasn't that way.
@ucanjustdostuff@mhp_guy Were they labeled and if yes, how so? How about packaged? People regularly leave snacks and drinks on their porches intentionally for deliver drivers (especially in the summertime... lots of viral videos). Maybe it was an honest mistake? Still kind of weird though
