@ging3rvituz@ddubbz918@49ersSportsTalk I’d use the 11th overall pick. Ppl r so scared to trade the 1st rounder for some reason. Draft some college kid that MAY be Myles Garrett caliber, or get the actual Myles Garrett. Unless you’re trying to get Garrett and keep the 11th ovr, but if you can’t just use the 1st rounder
The tush push is the best, and most dynamic play in football. I hope the Super Bowl is decided by that play. Coupled with some excellent play calling by the officiating team.
I’ve been watching the @NFL since I was 5 years old. And probably haven’t missed a Super Bowl in 30 years. This may be the first one I sit out. Watching the same team(s) win (chiefs/patriots) by beating the same less good teams over the last 15-20 yrs, the sport has gotten stale.
@SaltyBranzino@snipeshow_11 As a Pens homer, it would be devastating to the fan base. I partially think the organization is satisfied with mediocrity because they kept Crosby, Letang, and Malkin. And that puts butts in seats. It really comes down to if those players want to be there.
@ging3rvituz@st3nto Then how do you think aim punch should be implemented? Cuz I love the idea. The amount of times I land a body shot on a sniper, but then get lasers by their SLR is often enough to piss me off. I don’t think I should be punished for landing a good shot first.
@RiskyChrisky Ppl mad at this comment don’t understand. The standard is to complete this in which she did. Yay! BUT the problem is you shouldn’t be falling over the last 100m. You should be able to complete this and carry on with your day. The mission doesn’t stop at 12 miles. You just started
The problem I have with verbiage like this, is like bro y’all don’t even have 1 ring. And you’ve had two cracks at it. How bout you just focus on getting him a fair contract and winning that first one. Then we can discuss how many more after that.
TRENDING: #49ers star LB Fred Warner says Brock Purdy will win “multiple” Super Bowls in San Francisco.
“Brock Purdy, he’s the man. He will be the 49ers QB for a very, very long time with plenty of Super Bowl rings on his hand.”
There are people who don’t understand the broad support Brock Purdy has in the 49ers’ fan base. For those who still can’t grasp why I believe the 49ers are wise to invest in Purdy, I’m standing him up right here against some of the other QBs he’s constantly being placed behind by Podcast Joes and TV media both.
There are plenty of “immeasurables” that increase his value significantly. But here are some things that can be rated and measured:
Career TD to INT Ratio:
Justin Herbert — 3.0:1
C.J. Stroud — 2.5:1
Brock Purdy — 2.4:1*
Jordan Love — 2.4:1*
Jalen Hurts — 2.2:1
Baker Mayfield — 1.9:1
Avg. Pass Completion (yds):
Brock Purdy — 8.9
C.J. Stroud — 7.6*
Jalen Hurts — 7.6*
Jordan Love — 7.5
Baker Mayfield —7.3
Justin Herbert — 7.2
Career Completion Percentage:
Brock Purdy — 67.5
Justin Herbert — 66.5
Jalen Hurts — 64.4
C.J. Stroud — 63.5*
Jordan Love — 63.5*
Baker Mayfield —63.5*
Career QB Rating:
Brock Purdy — 104.9
Justin Herbert — 96.7
Jordan Love — 95.1
C.J. Stroud — 93.7
Jalen Hurts — 93.5
Baker Mayfield — 91.2
Career Post-Season Wins:
Brock Purdy — 4
Jalen Hurts — 3
C.J. Stroud — 2*
Baker Mayfield —2*
Jordan Love — 1
Justin Herbert — 0
(*tied)
NOTE: Purdy’s four playoff wins come within just 2.5 seasons. Only Stroud has had less game opportunities. Hurts has 6 seasons; Herbert has 5 seasons; Love has 4; Mayfield has 8.
Those are all fairly important categories that determine overall player success, and relative value of NFL quarterbacks. Argue that point with a brick wall.
Thanks, ESPN, for the stats. I’m not really a numbers guy, but that seems pretty gddamn impressive.
I’m here for rational debate, but bring facts please, not feelings and baseless impressions. The truth matters.
@SaltyBranzino@ging3rvituz As a fan that’s what I want. I want my team to compete. Show up every game and show you want to be there. Win the chip while doing that great. But winning championships in the pros is hard.
Yellow = Better than Purdy right now
Green = Purdy is better than or equal to
Blue = Debatable who is better at right now compared to Purdy
CONCLUSION:
Just because you’re the highest paid doesn’t mean you’re the highest quality. This is the world of the QB market.

@SaltyBranzino@ging3rvituz I think a good comp is this years Eagles. If they win the SB, it won’t be because of Hurts. However, they also wouldn’t be able to do it without Hurts. If that makes sense. Purdy isn’t a Burrow. But put some weapons by him, solid D, good play calling, Niners are contenders
This is fair and tolerable (if accurate). I like to compare Purdy to Jordan Love. Decent at the position. On a good team. And been a starter about the same amount of time. Love goes for about $55mil/yr. With salary cap bump Purdy makes $59.7mil/yr. That’s the NFL QB market.
Brock Purdy is projected to sign a 4-year, $238.9M contract with the 49ers this offseason, per @spotrac
Purdy’s total value would rank 9th and his $59.7M AAV would rank 2nd, just behind Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott

@SaltyBranzino@ging3rvituz Haha You basically outlined all my points I’ve been trying to convey throughout this thread. You’d take Goff, I would not. I saw him on the rams. Ppl upset that Purdy is going to get Franchise QB money are forgetting it’s far easier to take the guy you have than risk FA or draft
@ging3rvituz So we see teams like chiefs with Mahomes and go “that’s a $60mil/yr QB!” And that should be true. But in actuality there’s about 13-17 franchise QBs every year. And they get franchise QB money. The wins, accolades, and potential determines at what price point.
