Today, we had a special delivery of a mystery chest, which belongs to โthe Ravenโ and an accompanying letter! We had to flatter Mr Rhodes into letting us take a peek inside. ๐ค Should we have done it? #TalkforWriting@DeltaCraven
This afternoon, we explored what emails were, their many uses and enjoyed figuring out how to write and send them! There were lots of successes. @DeltaCraven
This weekโs regular readers! Theyโve found opportunities to read at home and independently during break time. Well done, everyone! ๐ ๐ @DeltaCraven
WOW! The difference in warm and cold colours is so clear here! Itโs as if Iโm looking at a piece by Kazimir Malevich. What super artists ๐ฉโ๐จ!
Very proud of our paintings, which show an expert use of tints and shades of warm and cold colours to show a contrast between poor and rich Victorian children! Can you tell which is which? How do the colours make you feel? @DeltaCraven@Mrs_ACarlin ๐ผ ๐จ
Carefully planning the warm and cold colours we are going to use in our Kazimir Malevich-inspired artworks that convey both a poor and a rich Victorian child. @DeltaCraven
The class loved Classroom Kitchen this afternoon, making one of Mr Rhodesโ favourite starters - bruschetta! ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฅ ๐ ๐ง ๐ฟ @DeltaCraven@ClassroomK
In science, weโve been looking at how our bulbs have germinated! We know that they produce roots to absorb water and nutrients, whilst the shoot gets sunlight and air! @DeltaCraven#DeltaScience
We had a lovely experience using some of the Victorian school tools this afternoon, including chalk and slate! We all agreed that school in the Victorian era seemed a lot less fun and fair than now! @DeltaCraven
In art this afternoon, we began by sorting objects into โwarmโ and โcoldโ colours. We learned that warm colours evoke happiness whilst cold colours are linked to sadness. @DeltaCraven
Today, we had a recap about online safety and learned how to use a safe search function on Purple Mash! We then learned how to share our work in a secure way on the display board. @DeltaCraven
We LOVED history this afternoon, where we investigated the jobs of children during the Victorian era and thought about which ones sounded the worst! We also took part in some hotseating and came up with questions weโd ask these workers. @DeltaCraven
