@Bot_Pimp_@Smirkley@Babygravy9 They did, and he wasn't. Then he retreated into a vague lie that what he meant wasnt actually a TV show, but a community initiative based on the Ubuntu principle 'It takes a village to raise a child'
@alexanderrX_ I love the people who lease rather than buy - they allow me to get a low mileage high spec Mercedes every 7 years for about 12k or 20% of the new price. And because theyre all ex lease cars, I know they're always in great condition with a comprehensive service history
@AnnieGlen20@PolitlcsGlobal@SkyNews You're an absolute balloon. We have our own parliament, and vote for Westminster yet we're not self governing? Idiot.
@WawaXRP@Mappy6984 I have worked in a restaurant, just in a European one where I was paid appropriately for my time. You can go on simping for American restaurants and their shady pay practices all you want, but I still only tip when Ive had excellent service, and only then an appropriate amount.
@WawaXRP@Mappy6984 Not really. If the place you work at doesnt pay you enough, its not for me to pay your wages. And a $100 steak takes as much effort to bring from the kitchen as a $10 burger.
@acnewsitics@jk_rowling Imagine doing whatever you do and failing to grasp the difference between ordering society around reality and ordering society around personal fantasy
โNot your traditional refugee exodusโ and itโs a bunch of families with all their worldly possessions instead of terrorist watchlisters of military age carrying a backpack and a kid that doesnโt belong to them
@JohnTchaikovsky@ziademarcus@frogs4girls So it is in fact expanding, even in main sequence. And 0.3% would add over a meter to the height of the empire state building. Elon may be overstating, but he's not wrong. We will need to become a space faring species to survive into that future, and mars is the first step
@barbaradunning1@SkyNews@karinsmyth Not really the gotcha you're suggesting. Intersex is about 1.7% of the population, and not all intersex are ambiguous in presentation.
When people on the right criticise judges over, say, Brexit or soft sentencing or immigration decisions, it is unacceptable undermining of judicial independence.
When people on the left criticise judges over, say, the definition of a woman, it is admirable & laudable.
