@tasha_pinkxx I would have a flick through the JRCALC at common drug doses and this may sound extremely boring but I would have a look over the scope of practice policy for your employer/Trust. Particularly surrounding your discharge/referral rights as this is something you'll do everyday. π
It is with huge sadness that we confirm the death of a paramedic involved in a collision on the A21, near Tonbridge, Kent, yesterday evening (5 January 2022). A full statement is available here: https://t.co/rvHhlXnTbk
Our CFRs arrive on scene within a few minutes, often before an #Ambulance arrives and can provide lifesaving first aid treatment, increasing the patientβs chances of survival.
The advert should go live on the 4th January on the NHS Jobs website: https://t.co/Xl6mO1XNam

@Aidan_Baron Not a specific brand recommendation here but I like the idea of having an AED that uses the same or compatible pads as the monitor carried by ambulance crews. Cuts down on time + pad wastage. Plus option to restock pads from crew keeping CFRs on the road π
@DartGarin Doing the essentials early sometimes make all the difference, as long as stopping to assist doesn't put you in danger yourselfπ. Have you looked into any full time roles within @YorksAmbulance?
It was fascinating being taught by true experts in theatres @Derriford_Hosp & realising how poorly us as paramedics are educated about essential airway management, particularly facemask ventilation. Therefore here's a little 𧡠that others might find useful on things I picked up:

Attended and passed the @ResusCouncilUK Advanced Life Support course, run by @EastAngliAirAmb. Incredibly knowledgable faculty and got the opportunity to train alongside clinicians from various specialialities. An excellent weekend. Thank you EAAA! #CPD#Development#Resus#ALS
@dottykitkat@SussexIncidents I cannot answer that however I know the Service made contact with the Paramedic and one of our Team Leaders picked them up. π Hopefully this entire situation gets resolved soon. οΏ½οΏ½ It's not just us it's affecting.
@kimberleyseddon Absolutely π. We practice unscheduled healthcare on the background of limited information. There is no shame whatsoever. I think recognising when you don't know is sometimes more important than when you do..
