#falzham7_4 Hamlet in his soliloquy compares himself to Fortinbras and raves about his ability to defend his honor, something hamlet has been unable to do, we can see in these soliloquies of Hamlet that he uses comparisons of contrasts to try and express his emotion.

#falzham7_3 I believe it was very strategic for Skaespeare to not have Hamlet's character be a killer in S3 as an attempt to develop his character more, the action would make Hamlet a villain not a hero, Claudius' survival can be seen as an attempt to preserve Hamlets character.

@sofiasafi11 #falzham7_3 It is interesting to see the amount of times Shakespeare uses religious and biblical allusions and imagery. How Hamlet cannot commit suicide because it is a sin and he is incapable to kill Clauduis because he would be robbing him of salvation.

#falzham7_3 Shakespeare uses irony as a device when Claudius is praying. He knows his sin is so great that it renders him incapable of praying, the "primal eldest curse" but he is unwilling to give up the gains of his acts and still asks for forgiveness, showing his stubbornness.

@ChrisCody345 I personally do not think that he did,I think that this contributed to the idea that his death was fated. Santiago was destined to die that day and Angela just blurted out his name because of this, because none of them had any control over the events. #falzforetold207

@EdithPo5 I feel like within the novel as we see the narrator trying to get to the bottom of the mystery we also learn that the book is less about his death and how it actually happened and more about how it was faded and how somehow everyone knew but no one could stop it. #falzforetold207

@AnnabelCarifa I agree with this statement a lot. I also feel like not only are women portrayed in this novel but also the class system. How the second that they found out Angela's flaw her life was ruined and her family reputation became now worthless. #falzforetold207

@sofiasafi11 #falzfences207 I agree it showed how education was not a large part of their life, Troy didn't know how to read. And when Cory was being recruited Troy saw college as a waste he wanted Cory to learn real life trade skills that would actually help him, this is a comment on society

@kerry_broderick #falzfences207 I think the relationship with Alberta contributes a lot to the overall theme of the contrast of obligations and love. Troy though of being a father and a husband as an obligation of his and because of this he took for granted the wonderful people he had in his life

@ChrisCody345 #falzfences207 I think Troy is hesitant to believe that there has been any change in society because of what he in everyday life and at work. I agree that he is just trying to protect Cory from ending up like him and resenting the injustice by just wanting him to be practical.

@NickScaperdas #falzfences207 I agree and I think the end of the play sheds a lot of light on Troy. Cory witnesses the love that Troy passed town to him and Raynell, and Troy was doing the best with what he had. Cory in the future will become a better person from witnessing his fathers mistakes

@AnnabelCarifa #falzfences207 I think that promotion was one of the things that led to his demise as a character.Cory in his metaphor of baseball felt that he was stuck on first for 18 years the promotion made him feel like he could have the chance to steal second, this combined with Alberta.

@AnnabelCarifa #falzfences207 I think we see how everyone's different interpretations of fences through character development. For Rose the Fences were a way to keep her family close like she always dreamed, for Cory and Troy they saw the fences as holding back, the reason wanted to build them.

@kerry_broderick #falzyw7 I think this has a lot to do with the time period. As a woman her opinion is barely valued and add on the fact that she is diagnosed with hysteria tendencies by her husband makes him completely devalue her. He believes that because he is a doctor he has more knowledge.

@kerry_broderick #falzyw7 I feel like the conflict between her and her husband was one of the most important because it was a catalyst for all the other conflicts. Her physical and mental health all started to defoliate once her confined her to the room, he believed himself to always be right.
