books Today's book is actually a twofer: "Cannery Row" and "Sweet Thursday" by John Steinbeck. Everybody had his serious work (Of Mice & Men, Grapes of Wrath) forced on them back in school, but try him again. Steinbeck could be hilarious, and these books prove it.
