@cmuratori It's better for certain kind of post, creative works get >10x the engagement and there is no insidious attention farming like here, but that is a non issue if you only strictly use the following tab on either place, then real reason to switch'd be that a critical mass has left.
@Allodoxaa Agreed, sadly many people do, there are hundreds of these terrible coding assistants out there that turn programming into a series of tap confirm to autocomplete actions. I'm expecting the already terrible state of software to get superlinearly worse in the coming years.
@Allodoxaa A programming language is already a precese and concise description of what the machine should do, so getting an intermediary model that doesn't know what Truth is inbetween is a disaster in waiting, and only slightly faster. Reasonably usable at proding unknown codebases though.
@Allodoxaa As someone who likes to think they can code, LLMs can "code" too, but very poorly even when the result works. They can't write actually good software unless you already know how to and can also spot all the maliciously compliant, subtle issues they create constatnly.
@Allodoxaa a) why does the way in which you would experience it matter? you can't authoritatively say the piece of art in question is in the play and not elsewhere
b) thats a spectrum. for me almost all 5* are easy enough you don't have to think about playing
@Allodoxaa In this analogy the youtube upload isn't the master record/drive with final.mp3 either, how is it meaningfully different that neiro or whoever isnt sharing the .gmd file but a botted recording that is entirely disinterested in what it contains and only wants the ad revenue number
@_jadugar_jad_@natedoth@lycium NO
NOOOO NONONONO
NO
no
no!
you WANT cache coherence!!
there is no such thing as flushing due to updates in the same location.
I'm genuinely baffled? Why are you making up a term to justify your wrong assumption? I feel like this is engagement bait. There's no other way...
@MKVRiscy 8 years ago Getty images levied an antitrust suit against Google for providing full quality results taking away ad view opportunities, 2y later in order to avoid having to shut down google images, struck a deal to stop providing hq images in the results https://t.co/fu9pg5TWIW
@notkavi there are only like 200 symbols math uses for everything (mostly only the alphabet and greek, sometimes with diacritics) yet there are far more than 200 fields of math that all want at least 50 symbols each, and like, people can't even agree if ℕ contains 0 or not.
@tazwake Yes, MD5 has been fully broken for years, allowing you to change the data in any way you like, then run a script for a few tens of minutes to hours and get a matching MD5, it would likely be noticable though, weird trailing bits or sections of noise.
@d1mden the place is still open. it even has the image the original is next to on the archive in the user submitted media on google maps https://t.co/pizUsOkX7h
