@Piccarreta18 I use a Mimio that attaches to my whiteboard to make it interactive. It allows students to interact with PowerPoint and smartboard lessons. It is especially helpful when introducing and practicing concepts whole group. #wuedt6020
@dwyli65178 I tried using @ProdigyGame, but I felt like my second graders were more focused on game play than practicing math skills. I like the idea of game-based learning, but I am still looking for options that really help students strengthen academic skills. #wuedt6020
@Sarah302_302 I would plan time for introducing and modeling using new technology. In second grade, I have the most success when I have my class try something new on devices at the same time. They are able to get help from me or peers as they navigate new technology. #wuedt6020
@MrsSeibert94 I think it's great that you have found success with Google! Do you find that a lot of students are able to access the Google Doc/Slide at home? #wuedt6020
@PWysocki3 I agree that podcasts would be a good way for students to communicate with other students. They can prepare and edit their podcast before sharing it with others. Do you know of sites or platforms students can use to easily share their podcasts as the teacher monitors? #wuedt6020
@JumperTeaches@glogster I think this would be a great way to have students connect with other students! The digital design aspect of Glogster seems like it may appeal to more students than a traditional blog. #Wuedt6020
Teachers can use ePals (https://t.co/nHSg7TVj4c) to connect with K-12 classrooms in more than 99 countries. Students can share content, ideas and collaborate on projects while the teacher monitors communication in private workspaces.

@cjanocha001 Thank you for sharing this resource! I have used Kahoot in my classroom, but Quizalize looks like it is more individualized for the student. I will have to try this out in my classroom! #wuedt6020
@Piccarreta18 I agree that working hands-on with math concepts help students gain a deeper understanding of the concepts. At the elementary level, I am always looking for ways students can discover new math ideas. I think geometry can easily be explored in makerspaces. #wuedt6020
Analytic technology is an emerging trend that I could adopt in my classroom. I think that collecting data in real time and being able to use the data to make informed decisions can improve student success.
