@damespjuffy That's what we get from retarded actors for showing a bit of love.
He got a tiny bit of it for No way home, he thought he was relevant. The man doesn't understand it was pity...
@ALegendaryDrops Some people are just contrarians or brain-dead.
Ubi selling at lower price on Uplay had the specific goal of diverting customers from Steam, to themselves.
It'd be like a supplier selling their stuff in front of your store for less. You can do it, but expect a reaction...
@YetiMoose@DaddyWarpig As I said (welcome to reading 101) I haven't seen it so I can't comment. I'm not taking you on your word cause you sound very partisan.
Also, the original post talks about Backrooms, not Obsession. You brought it up. Welcome to the thread?
@YetiMoose@DaddyWarpig Even ignoring the hyperbole, your point is still wrong.
According to balance sheets, not dreams, which "woke" movies made bank? I mean, since people realized what is going on with media. Keeping in mind "there's a non-white person in it" isn't what rational people mean by "woke"
@sheanorling Obsession's convo is such a weird one.
Plenty of low budget horrors make loads of money. People are talking about this one as the biggest success ever (false), claiming it will make 300M even if it's already in its 3rd week.
I mean, it's a success, congrats, but lets calm downπ
@CourtneyRigo@_ryancole@IMAO_ I think it's also the fact that he knew he was going to be one with the force. He doesn't drop dead, his corpse disappears. Even Vader is puzzled by that (hence the foot checking).
@_ryancole@IMAO_ Cause Obi wanted Luke to fight Vader, and his death was a motivating factor. But also he knew he was going to be one with the force. His body disappears, he doesn't just drop dead.
Or at least, that's how I always read that scene.
@ReviewsPossum Also, people should be carefull making competence arguments, cause after they deposed Palpatine, the new republic was in a state of total chaos in less then 30 years... π
@YetiMoose@DaddyWarpig Idk, haven't seen it. But the post isn't about that. It's about M&G failing.
That said, horror movies making loads with very low budget is pretty common: Saw, Terrifier, Paranormal Activity, Blair Witch, and on and on. Obsession won't make even half a billion though.
@GundamIsHere These people don't even know what the actual creators say about their own movies and series. Ryan Johnson brags all the time about his retarded intent of "subverting expectations" at every chance. By definition, he refuses to give fans what they want.
@DukeofViseu@TheLaurenChen I wouldn't call it "ripping off", to my knowledge he was very open about his inspirations. It's not MJ's fault what idiots say now on X π
@TheLaurenChen Never claimed MJ (never feel the need to claim anybody, tbh, I live that to misarable people...).
However, this is one of MJ's biggest inspirations...

@EtainN@Grxit It does suck a bit, not gonna lie, but the guy's "the game expected me to figure out stuff!" complaint isn't a good reaction to that.
Watch a movie instead... π
@NEHWind In a way, it's labour cost.
Not cause labour costs too much, but cause 85% is not needed.
Get rid of HR, internal marketing, half of the managerial positions, sensitivity readers, most consultants and you're fine, even paying for celebs (which I agree, you can do without 100%).
