Who are #fnb can help me obtain a copy of call made by your agents at MSA acting on FNB mandate to spam me? After several requests to not be marketed, FNB had no issues sharing my private data with this company. I am tired of this, and want that call recording as evidence.
@StandardBankZA I don't care which team and or department did it. I entrusted my data with Standard Bank. A company that has now breached that trust and knowingly shared my data, illegally and against my wishes, with a third-party call center. What are you going to do to rectify that position?
@StandardBankZA please tell me why you deem it okay to share my personal contact information with the call centre Ignition group despite me making it very clear on numerous occasions I don't want spam callers?
@StandardBankZA Okay, so you then admit to having shared my private confidential information with third parties? What else have you shared with them and other third parties illegally? Also, why are you even targeting me since I have not opt-in for any sales from you?
@StandardBankZA Some mobile contract something. However, they hang up on me as soon as I started asking them for identifiable information as to who exactly they are and who at Standard Bank provided them with my private confidential information.
@StandardBankZA Have you established the size of your data breach yet? Are we talking thousands of clients or millions of clients' private and confidential data that has been leaked?
@MTufail883245@webafrica I can share that experience with you. WebAfrica have horrendous support staff having no issue whatsoever to transfer you in the middle of the conversation back to the bot. It may be worth investigating alternative options for an ISP
@RobinHnic@mybroadband just be aware of @WebAfrica's pricing. Their 1Gb on say Vuma for instance is listed as R1249, but that is only for the first three months. Also note, that if you try to cancel, like so many other people did when they see the increase, it is a calendar month notice.
@leelulz@webafrica there are so many people who are complaining about this exact issue, it is shocking that WebAfrica has not yet deployed an alternative solution. Good luck Daniel.
@Gcw90@webafrica@vumatel A couple of people have complained about WebAfrica's charges already. It may be worth your while to do some research into other ISP's.
@MsMabilu@webafrica@WebAfricaHelper jip, that is the norm with WebAfrica. It is sad that their service has deteriorated to such a low level, they had so much potential.
@Mamotingoe_ I would think the best-rated ISP at this point in time is @coolideas_ZA or @Afrihost At least that is according to a customer survey performed a few months ago by @mybroadband
@maggy_maggz@webafrica Unfortunately, you are not alone in this quest to find a better method of communication with WebAfrica. Did your agent also transfer you in the middle of the conversation?
@SNsanzy@webafrica It will appear that Webafrica relies on only a single channel of communication, being that of a broken WhatsApp bot. The helpdesk number is manned by an irritating voice promoting WhatsApp. Either way, they just ignore you on all channels. Good luck though!
@Henry_botha9@IamBrotherP@webafrica I agree Henry, all companies will have the occasional issue and problem. The problem though is that when an issue arises, you as a paying client must be able to contact the ISP, the person on the other side should be knowledgeable and be able to resolve the problem efficiently.
@Chello_ZA@webafrica just a heads up, if you do plan to cancel, book out at least 8 hours of your day as that is how much time you will need on WhatsApp... Oh, and just remember, you will be billed until the 1st of November...
@Thendo_012@webafrica just be aware that once your line is installed, it is nearly impossible to cancel it. If you think you are having trouble with the installation, wait till you try to cancel it. That is a real joke.
