The trainees sponsored by @womatrust are nearing the end of their course in tailoring & design at the Namasuba College of Commerce in Kampala. We wish them well today as they are sitting their Directorate of Industrial Training exams which they need to pass in order to graduate.
These women will complete their training at the Namasuba College, Kampala, in 2 weeks time. They began in Jan 2020 after @WOMATRUST sponsorship. They've faced many challenges due to the pandemic. On #IWD21 we salute their courage & determination to succeed. #ChooseToChallenge

RHC welcomes the Appeal Court’s ruling that the Government’s plans for Heathrow expansion are unlawful.
We've long argued that a third runway is incompatible with achieving our climate change targets & that any economic benefits from Heathrow as a hub airport are non-existent.
I leave #uganda extremely proud of the hard work that women sponsored by @womatrust are doing as they embark on training to become fashion entrepreneurs. All are single mothers. I salute you. Thank you to @reachahand for starting the conversation about future partnerships
Meet Zahara and her family who we spent time with today. 3 years ago she could barely sew and was living hand to mouth. Today she’s completed her training with @womatrust and she’s running her own biz. Sending kids to school and taking big orders from new clients. Truly awesome
Day 4 of our #WOMA2020 Uganda field trip. Impromptu opportunity to meet youth from @reachahand and join our longtime friends Jessica and Humphrey to explain what @WOMATRUST is all about.
Really happy to be back in #Uganda where our team at @womatrust are beginning to conduct interviews for our next intake of trainees. Nora Dennehy and I delighted to be leading the pannel.
