Colorado has collected over $3B in marijuana tax revenue to pave roads, build schools, rec centers and so much more, all while successfully cracking down on the underground market. Oh, and we didn't use $50M in taxpayer dollars to block access to freedom. But you do you.
@rivers_kim@CharlesBachtell@realDonaldTrump Wow. This tweet blows my mind just a little bit!🤯 There's two companies bigger than all others that @303420Plan had a "minor" hand in...@rivers_kim & @CharlesBachtell00000, hoping you are right and that we see a significant change that moves cannabis forward.💚🚀
I am thrilled by the Biden Administration’s decision to begin the process of finally rescheduling cannabis, following the lead of Colorado voters and 37 other states that have already legalized marijuana for medical or adult use, correcting decades of outdated federal policy. This action is good for Colorado businesses and our economy, it will improve public safety and will support a more just and equitable system for all. We look forward to when Colorado businesses will continue to safely fulfill the consumer demand without facing additional safety challenges and unnecessary financial burdens that 280E tax provisions created.
Colorado’s progressive, nation-leading cannabis industry has created tens of thousands of jobs, as well as countless opportunities for other local industries and small businesses to thrive. We continue to push for federal action when it comes to safe banking and reclassifying marijuana. And through it all, we’ve put equity at the center of our work, because people who have been at the short end of the war on cannabis for decades should be near the front of the line for the kinds of opportunities that come out of a rational, regulated federal structure.

@HHS_ASH, ADM Rachel Levine - we met in Oct. 2019 at then Gov Cuomo's Regional Cannabis & Vaping Summit. You were a panelist while I was on the dais w/ all the Govs. Would like to connect!
@boxbrown @SecBecerra@KDKA@SecBecerra, @kdka (and @boxbrown - I'm a big fan!) - pretty funny & coincidental to me that you used old footage of MY grow & retail for the first 9 seconds of your clip. @SecBecerra, I'm now a policy staffer that asked you about timelines for rescheduling on a call months ago.
Passage & enactment of Rep. Perlmutter’s SAFE Banking Act will protect cannabis-related businesses, support minority, women, and veteran-owned small business owners, create jobs, and strengthen public safety in Colorado communities and the states.

Thrilled to see @POTUS follow Colorado’s lead - 2 years ago, I took bold action to clean up past inequities by pardoning convictions for Coloradans who possessed a small amount of cannabis. Today’s federal action will change people’s lives and not block their success.
Passing this critical legislation today would be a small part of a fitting memorial for a man whose efforts made it possible. This should be the year that we finish the pioneering work of his career, a fitting capstone to a lifetime of cannabis leadership, activism, and progress.
Steve's life work, leadership, and strategic brilliance were unmatched. As someone who has worked on cannabis reform longer than any politician in America, I know how deeply we are all indebted to Steve. We mourn his loss and extend our thoughts to his family and friends.
As we prepare to pass the SAFE Banking Act, I want to acknowledge the tragic passing of Steve Fox, a pioneering advocate and strategist in the marijuana cannabis legalization effort. We would not be here today without Steve and his amazing efforts.
Trump in Georgia on risk of losing: "I'm gonna say, I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics I'm not gonna feel so good. Maybe I'll have to leave the country. I don't know."
