@fahad_mutaaya@hotniqqha I don't believe that still holds true. That was the in the past. Just, like in the NGO world, most research money came from Americans, and that has been dwindling. Private practice and government generally pay better than academia now at senior levels.
@hotniqqha@fahad_mutaaya This is not entirely correct. You can still do fellowship with COSECSA or another similar collegiate training based qualification in another discipline. It's only PHD where you will need MMed, but these are for only career progression in academia (teaching and research) jobs.
