Environmentalists have raised serious concerns over the alleged land use changes in the Periya-Pakranthalam (Periya-Pannippad) elephant corridor, warning that ongoing excavation and construction activities could obstruct elephant movement, worsen habitat fragmentation, and trigger a rise in human-elephant conflict across north Kerala.

Look at this innocent community dog, peacefully sleeping and posing no threat to anyone, yet this child walks up and hits him.
If you ask who is at fault here, it is not the child alone. The bigger responsibility lies with the parents or guardians who watched it happen, smiled, and didn't stop the behavior or explain why it was wrong.
This child should be gently counselled today so that he learns the true meaning of compassion, empathy, and respect for every living being. Children are not born cruel they learn from the environment around them.
If a child can hit a helpless animal in front of you and you remain silent, it reflects a missed opportunity to teach kindness.
And imagine if this frightened dog had reacted in self-defence. The entire world would blame the dog, while forgetting what led to that moment.
Let's raise children who protect animals, not hurt them. Let's teach empathy before anger, kindness before cruelty, and responsibility before excuses.
Be kind. Be compassionate. Above all, be a responsible parent. ❤️
