People will say protecting property isn't worth taking a life.
I tell you property *is* life.
How much of my life was spent to pay for that car? To buy that house? To build that business?
That car gets me to my job that houses, feeds, and clothes my family.
Property is life.
Wow! I just got off the phone with the amazing team at Steak ’n Shake. They told me they love what we’ve been doing and are mailing me $3,000 worth of gift cards to give away to veterans and others in need. I’m speechless — thank you all so much!
They also shared that they’ve let all their locations know that if I stop by, the meal’s on them. What an incredible gesture. Thank you, Steak ’n Shake, for believing in our mission and helping us make a difference one lawn — and one act of kindness — at a time. ❤️🇺🇸 @SteaknShake
@Timesofgaza That's weird.
It's almost like someone pissed them off.
But the leadership in Gaza is so peaceful and amiable that I *know* that's not the case.
It's truly a mystery why Israel has done such a thing.
@dd_chip@LilaGraceRose If the baby deck is a human life.
I mean... if you aren't interested in a deck, walking around barefoot on it was probably not the best idea.
Also, you could gift the deck to a friend.
@dd_chip@LilaGraceRose You should know that you might get a splinter and be prepared to deal with the consequences.
Since the splinter isn't a distinct human, removing it isn't an issue. If it WAS a human that could live apart from you in 9 months? Yeah, you've gotta leave it.
@ToddBurtner@petemuntean For decades.
But ATC still went to work.
What are ATC doing now?
It looks like they're causing regular people a bunch of headaches because they want to be petulant.
If they want to make a difference, maybe they should abandon airports near DC.
Wouldn't this inflate home prices even more?
While I heartily support private property rights, I think I could go for limits on private equity buying homes. It would need careful wording, though, to both close loopholes AND allow for smaller landlords.
Stop private equity from buying single-family homes.
Instead, give young Americans low-interest mortgages & downpayment help to buy them.
Homes for young families, not Wall Street.
That’s new economic patriotism.
@csteebs88@philthatremains When you're far enough down that road to be able to look back, you'll find it was the right choice and most of those "struggles" were probably not even that "struggle-y".
Sure, a few more vacations would have been nice. Or newer cars. Or a larger nest egg... but it was worth it
