Why should Calgarians pay the price for the blatant mismanagement of our water infrastruture? Twenty percent (20%) of our water is lost to leakage. Calgary ratepayers pay for this as our water rate cost is based on the output of the two treatment plants. For 15 years the NENSHI-GONDEK regimes pilfered over $1 billion from water rate base funds to finance their legacy woke projects. TO DATE, NO ONE AT CITY HALL HAS BEEN HELD TO ACCOUNT. We tax and ratepayers are NOW FACED with higher water rates and mandated usage schedules in response to the City's clear fraudulent transfer of dedicated funds.
