Hi everyone, this is Becky's husband. I'm sorry to give the sad news that Becky passed away yesterday (10th June), it was peaceful and pain free. In Becky's words "mortality finally caught up with me". Thank you for all the support and wishes xx
This is one reason I feel media and organizations need to include more honest stories of terminal cancer patients such as myself... With cancer success stories hyped up in media it’s no wonder many assume they (and I) can “beat” cancer too. Of course doctors need to be clear too!

This is fascinating! Is cancer the "safe mode" of cells, reverting to the evolutionary time of single celled organisms? A new theory of cancer @cancerconnector https://t.co/dPz6CbbUs4
@LimehouseDan Cold and damp here but the sun is trying to make an appearance! I blew up second time up the hill, but overall it was a decent run! Need to do more hill training :)

@FeedleFi I get the verdict tomorrow. Hoping for radiotherapy and immunotherapy, but feels like we're grasping at straws. Disease very much in control at the moment. Most scared I've been since diagnosis. I'm trying to get down to the Marsden for a 2nd opinion, desperately need some hope!
Unfortunately not great scan results today. Cancer has spread into brain again and there are new bits in lungs. They are stopping the chemo and deciding what to do next. Feel like I'm running out of options now. #lcsm
@FeedleFi@ktg_blake She was, as are so many in the stage IV community. I am so bouyed up by the resilience of the stage IV community on here, but then, when we lose a member, it cuts so deep. Always tears, always deep sadness.
Do you know what needs more research dollars? Lung cancer. Actually, all advanced and metastatic cancers need more money for research. Focus on these and the early stage patients will benefit too.
@LimehouseDan @bwparkrun It is! Today was my 95th and it's taken me nearly 9 years. I didn't used to do them much, but I've been in a roll since the summer!
@LimehouseDan @bwparkrun Parkrun tourism this morning at Shipley. Friend doing his 250th there! Hilly compared to Markeaton, but gorgeous morning! How did I get on?
Lung cancer now kills more women than breast cancer! The face of lung cancer: non-smoking Moms. Let's do for lung cancer what was done for breast cancer. NOW. #lcsm#bcsm@LCAM_org @LungRoadAhead
